Abstract: A sealing ring for use in connection with a filter bag assembly of a filter is disclosed. The sealing ring includes an annular body having an outer annular wall projecting from the body. The outer wall is flexible such that it can engage an adjacent surface of the filter in a liquid-tight manner for forming a seal between the surface and the sealing ring.

Abstract: This invention is a mixer mounting system which comprises a pair of horizontal guide bars, a collar slidably mounted on each bar, and a bracket pivotally mounted between the collars. A mixer is then attached to the bracket. The pivoting of the bracket permits the mixer to assume alternate positions, so as to be included in the mixing vessel when mixing is desired, or to be removed from the mixing vessel when mixing is complete, and/or when the vessel is to be cleaned.
Abstract: A mixing element for a screw extruder comprises an element including opposing lobes and a central portion having common opposing broad surfaces; one lobe broad surface being formed into a taper. The elements may be used individually or combined in blocks, with the elements of a block oriented in various combinations. The blocks may comprise two or more elements. The tapered lobes provided reduced pressure and temperature of the process as compared to prior art mixing elements. Also, more graduated control over temperature and pressure are provided according to the value of the taper magnitude, the number of elements used in a process and the relative lobe orientations in a machine.
Abstract: Screw-feeder dosage unit particularly for the dosage of solid or powdered products, which includes a frame which supports a hopper in which the product to be dosed is introduced, and an extractor for the product which is driven by a gearmotor. The unit includes a stirrer which is suspended inside the hopper, above the extractor, and is driven by an actuation means, the stirrer producing vibrations which allow separation of the product from the walls of the hopper for the descent of the product toward the extractor.
Abstract: A self-gush-cleaning filter device comprises a filter casing (1) provided with an inlet passage (a) and an outlet passage (d), a screen (11) disposed within the filter casing (1) so as to slide along the inner surface of the filter casing (1) in the flowing direction of a fluid, a foreign matter ejecting opening (15) being formed between the screen (11) and the inlet passage (a). A drive shaft (4) for driving the screen (11), a screen driving unit (3) for driving the drive shaft (4) so as to move the screen (11) quickly in a downstream direction in which the fluid flows from the inlet passage (a) toward the outlet passage (d) and to move the screen slowly in an upstream direction. An outlet shutoff valve (14) is disposed in the outlet passage (d) of the filter casing (1). The screen driving unit (3) is actuated after closing the outlet shutoff valve (14) to move the screen (11).
