Abstract: Portable potty-chair that readily folds to a compact size, thus providing a toilet trainer that is easily transportable. To attain such a potty-chair, four pairs of pivotally crossed legs, with adjacent legs pivotally attached to connecting bases, form the chair frame. The frame is coupled to the corners of a rectangular seat where the seat has an opening through which waste may pass. In an embodiment, the portable potty chair includes a disposable liner with an elasticized edge to hold the liner in place. In an embodiment, the disposable liner includes a waste receptacle that occupies the seat opening.

Abstract: A gas-powered, durable, needle-less hypodermic jet injection device (10, 110) includes a hand-held injector (12, 112) which provides a volume of liquid medication to be injected, an injection orifice, and an injection piston. Forceful movement of the injection piston causes an injection jet of medication to be expelled from the injection orifice. The injection device also includes a hermetically sealed gas pressure cartridge (28) which is opened in preparation to effecting a jet injection, and which powers the jet injection, but from which pressurized gas is not allowed to flow in volume until a user of the device shifts a valving spool (24).

Abstract: A device for controlling the discharging amount of the flush water from toilet tank includes a U-shaped member secured to a lateral wall in the tank and close on two lateral sides by a pair of U-shaped plates, a large rotor, an eccentric wheel and a small rotor disposed into the U-shaped member, a small float ball connected to the eccentric wheel, a trip lever connected to the small rotor, a check plate pivoted to one end of the U-shaped member, a large flush hand connected to a cylindrical body of the large rotor and a small flush handle connected to a positioning rod of the small rotor to be actuated by the large flush handle. When press the large flush handle, a large amount of flush water can be discharged and when press the small flush handle, a small amount of flush water is discharged.

Abstract: A prefabricated swimming pool including a pool frame having a plurality of vertical frames and horizontal frames connected between the vertical frames, and pool body fabricated from a synthetic resin sheet having a base unit and a circumferential side wall and supported by the pool frame. Storing and carrying of the swimming pool is simple and handy, and there is no possibility that the circumferential side wall is inclined or collapses, ensuring a safe and stable use.

Abstract: A multi-chamber renal dialysis container having at least two compartments and containing concentrated glucose in a first compartment and a hydrochloric acid solution containing electrolytes in a second compartment. The compartments are separated from one another during storage and transportation by separable peel seals, and the solutions can only be mixed with one another by the opening of the peel seals. An outlet of the multi-chamber container is separated by a further peelable seal, whereby a substantially empty third chamber is formed.

Abstract: A toilet seat assembly is provided. The toilet seat assembly has a toilet seat ring and a toilet seat cover having cores of cellulosic materials such as wood derivatives or other natural cellulosic materials. The toilet seat ring and cover are encapsulated by a polymeric material bonded thereto, preferably polypropylene plastic. The plastic overlay has integrally formed hinge ears to allow the toilet seat ring to be pivotally connected with the toilet seat bowl.

Abstract: The fuel injection device has a fuel pump, which has a pump piston that is driven by an engine and delimits a pump working chamber, which is supplied with fuel from a fuel tank and is connected to a fuel injection valve, which has an injection valve member that controls at least one injection opening and can be moved by the pressure generated in the pump working chamber in an opening direction counter to a closing force. A first control valve controls a connection of the pump working chamber to a discharge chamber, and a second control valve controls the pressure prevailing in a control pressure chamber of the fuel injection valve. The connection of the pump working chamber further contains a pressure-holding valve, which maintains a pressure that is higher than the pressure prevailing in the discharge chamber.

Abstract: A method for assisting in a dental treatment, wherein: a three-dimensional volume data set for the tooth and/or jaw area of a patient is produced by means of an imaging method, for example tomographic imaging; the tooth and/or jaw area is registered and/or referenced by means of a computer-assisted navigation and/or tracking system using the volume data set; instruments and apparatus for treatment are registered and/or referenced relative to said computer-assisted navigation and/or tracking system, and positionally tracked; and wherein said navigation and/or tracking system supplies information for assisting and/or guiding the treatment before, during or after the treatment, by means of an output unit. It further concerns a device for implementing the method and the application of the device for assisting in a dental treatment.

Abstract: A torch for thermal spraying stored rotatably in the front portion of a nozzle and having a discharge member with a droplet passage at the center, wherein a projection is formed at the tip of the discharge member, an air jet space allowing rotating air to be blown therein is formed at the rear of the discharge member projectedly from the discharge member by integrally forming with each other a plurality of arms disposed in an air jet cylinder, and a rotating force is given to the discharge member by the air blown from an air jet port disposed on the outside of the air jet space, so as to bring the rotational speed of the discharge member into the range of 800 to 6000 rpm, whereby thermal spraying can be performed on the internal surfaces of pipes and cylinders, and the thickness of a thermal spraying film can be optimized.

Abstract: A nozzle box includes first and second nozzle box halves which are bolted together. Each nozzle box half includes a nozzle ring segment that carries nozzles along its entire 180° arc, so that when the nozzle box halves are joined together a nozzle box is formed with no discontinuities of nozzles around its 360° circumference. The nozzles carried on each nozzle ring segment communicate with inlet ports, and associated passages which are perpendicular to the nozzle box exit plane.

Abstract: A magnetic therapeutic device for application to a target pain or injury area under a user's skin includes a plurality of hook-like members for attaching to an inner surface of a user's clothing adjacent the target pain or injury. In an embodiment, the device further comprises a plastic member including a smooth surface for contacting the user's skin adjacent the target pain or injury area, a magnet sandwiched between the hook-like members and the plastic member for generating a magnetic field in the target pain or injury area under the user's skin, and a keeper for placing outside a user's clothing. In an embodiment, the device is held in place by the attractive force of the magnet to pinch the clothing between the magnet and the keeper.

Abstract: An apparatus which incorporates an air ventilation system into a standard toilet seat is disclosed. The apparatus would connect a filtration system to the rear half portion of a toilet seat by a plurality of ventilation pathways, which would connect to two primary ventilation pathways located in the rear of a toilet seat, which in turn would connect to the filtration system via a house connection. The filtration system itself would be housed in a box-like container, with the container having two major compartments, a filter compartment and a fan compartment.

Abstract: A paint sprayer for spraying a fluid includes a pump housing, an electrical housing having a motor and a switch, a handle coupled to the pump housing, a paint cup coupled to the handle, and a mechanical actuator coupled to the pump housing for operating the motor. The actuator has a first portion positioned in the vicinity of the exterior of the pump housing and a second portion that extends into the pump housing. The second portion is configured to engage the switch in the electrical housing to operate the motor. Another embodiment of the invention comprises a mechanical actuator configured to allow fluid isolation of the pump housing from the electrical housing.

Abstract: An ostomy appliance having a body side member with an adhesive wafer or pad for securing the appliance to the user's skin, the wafer or pad having a hole for receiving a stoma, and a separately exchangeable collecting bag secured to the body side ostomy member for receiving secretions from the ostomy. The body side member includes a first flange connected thereto via a first connecting section and the collecting bag includes a second substantially annular flange which is connected to the collecting bag via a substantially annular second connecting section. The annular second flange is radially divided into an inner portion and an outer portion by at least one opening therethrough in an essentially circular zone corresponding to or larger than the outer radius of the first connecting section which reduces the risk of leakage and also reduces the necessary cleaning when substituting the collecting bag.

Abstract: A structure of flexible water tap with a nozzle having an extension pipe that can be pulled out from the water outgoing pipe to facilitate the rinsing and water supply, wherein the middle of the outgoing water section of the inner nozzle has an axial pipe and a plurality of passages transversally disposed in the middle section of the inner nozzle. Different elements are installed at the two water outgoing positions on the end cover in order to give different ways for the outgoing water. A splitter set is installed by passing through the middle section of the nozzle for producing a transversal displacement such that the entire structure only requires one hand to pull the nozzle from the position of the water outlet of the water tap, changes the flow path as well as the outgoing water condition, and thus attains the effect of convenient rinsing with simple control.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a transverse connector having an assembly, which joins two spinal rods to form a spinal implant construct. The transverse connector has two members each having terminal clamping members such as opposing rod recesses each having a biasing setscrew, which locks the rod into position in the recess. The first of the two members has a bore, which receives the cylindrical extension of the other part so that it can move inward and outward and rotate in the bore. Further, the connector has a limiting mechanism, which comprises a vertical keyway which receives and captures the flanged end of the extension in a slot having opposed undercut areas so that the flanged end can be inserted into the keyway and slid downward toward the bore. The extension further has a second flanged area in order to avoid over-insertion of the second member into the first member.

Abstract: A no hands toilet lid and seat opening and closing mechanism designed to be disposed on a typical existing toilet having a seat and/or lid and seat. A saddle-like mounting bracket having left and right brackets is positioned on the top rear quadrant of the toilet bowl, and is clamped in place between the hinge assembly and toilet bowl. Two pivot arms support foot levers that control the lid and seat, and are pivotally coupled to the mounting brackets. A lid coiled spring and a seat coiled spring are each disposed around a pivot arm. U-shaped lid and seat brackets are adapted to be bonded to the existing toilet lid and seat, and are functionally connected to the lid and seat pedals, such that foot pressure forcing downward on a chosen pedal will raise and open the lid and/or seat.

Abstract: A sink water spraying apparatus includes a sprayer housing having a channel extending between inlet and outlet ports. The housing includes a trigger for actuating water flow. A pulsation selector disc is rotatably coupled to the housing and defines a hole that may be selectively aligned with the outlet port. A pulsation assembly is connected to a shaft extending from the housing and may receive a water stream flowing through the pulsation selector disc. The pulsation assembly includes a rotor for repetitively disrupting this flow so as to make it pulsate. A pattern selector disc is releasably coupled to the pulsation selector disc and defines differently configured nozzle ports. The pattern selector disc may be rotated such that a water stream received from the pulsation assembly may be conveyed in a desired pattern. An auxiliary cleaning attachment may be releasably coupled to the pattern selector disc.

Abstract: A light weight carrier head is attached to a hand held wand for fluid removal of coatings, paint and other accretions from structural surfaces. The carrier head is in the shape of a ring with equidistant nozzles capable of producing 25,000 to 60,000 psi fluid dispersions covering a swath of up to 6 inches.
