Abstract: The present disclosure provides a mattress comprising at least one zonal mattress element a midsection that is firmer than the upper and lower sections and configured to provide support for a hip of a user side sleeping on the mattress and at least one uniform mattress element which provides a neutral posture and may be rearranged to give different users different zonal variations. Furthermore, it discloses a system of the mattress with a pillow to provide a neutral posture or aligned spine to improve both side and back sleeping with neural posture resulting in better sleep, less snoring and less pain.

The patient transport apparatus includes a support structure and a drive wheel assembly having at least one drive wheel, a powered drive system coupled to the at least one drive wheel, and at least two user input devices. The apparatus also includes a controller coupled to the powered drive system and user input devices configured to determine which one of the user input devices is active and operable to cause the powered drive system to rotate the drive wheel and to maintain the other user input device as inactive, or passive.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a baby sleeping bag including a bag body and an arm securing structure in the bag body. The arm securing structure includes a securing sheet arranged on an inner wall of the bag body along a transverse width direction of the bag body. A limit space for securing the baby's arms is formed between the securing sheet and the inner wall of the bag body, and a size of the limit space is adjustable. When the baby lies in the sleeping bag, the upper body of the baby may be wrapped in the limit space defined by the securing sheet and the inner wall of the bag body, so as to limit the movement of the baby's arms, effectively preventing the arm from being stretched out of the sleeping bag, and thus avoiding the baby from catching a cold.

Abstract: A lift system includes a support configured to maintain a bed frame thereon. The support is defined by a first swing arm opposing a second swing arm and a pivoting plate opposing an end plate. First ends of the swing arms are configured to swing outward about ends of the pivoting plate. Second ends of the swing arms removably attach to the end plate to form a rectangular structure for securely receiving a bed frame. The lift system also includes a storage unit defined by a lift gate configured within an interior of the storage unit. The lift gate includes a linear actuator for converting the support between a folded and an unfolded position by manipulating the pivoting plate coupled to the linear actuator. A controller is provided for controlling the lift gate.

Abstract: Described is a rollup evacuation sled that includes a bottom sheet, a foam mattress disposed above the bottom sheet, and a support sheet disposed above the mattress. A margin stack including the bottom sheet and the support sheet forms a sandwiched margin left side and a sandwiched margin right side. The sled may further include a plurality of spinal boards disposed between the bottom sheet and the mattress in the upper section of the bottom sheet. Wheel assemblies are mounted on each spinal board. The sled further includes a foot pouch coupled to the sandwiched margin left and right sides and dimensioned to substantially enclose feet and calves of a person lying on the support sheet. The foot pouch is configured to store a stack including the bottom sheet, mattress and the support sheet, when the stack is rolled up along a longitudinal direction from the head end.

Abstract: A bed rail having a guard frame that prevents a child from rolling off a bed and a pair of legs that extend between the mattress and box spring. The guard frame swings between up and down positions and is pivotally connected to the legs via a first junction. A second junction locks the guard frame to the legs. The second junction includes a rotatable seat that engages a pin extending from the guard frame. The bed rail further includes a strap that engages a proximal end of a leg, a distal end of the leg, and an anchor, which engages the side of the bed opposite of the bed rail.

Abstract: A transfer device can transfer a care-receiving person who has difficulty in independent walking to a desired location in a comfortable posture. This transfer device is provided with front wheels and rear wheels and allows a caregiver to move a care-receiving person. The transfer device is characterized by being provided with: a support body for supporting the upper half body of the care-receiving person; a leg guidance part that comes into contact with the anterior surface of the lower legs of the care-receiving person and can be tilted forward from a substantially vertical state; and a foot placement part on which the feet of the care-receiving person are placed. The transfer device has a support body advancing and retreating mechanism that is configured such that the support body moves forward in parallel in link with a forward tilt of the leg guidance part.

Abstract: A folding bed, such as a sofa bed, with an assembly configured to counteract the gravitational forces acting on both a rotation of the main panel in relation to the frame and a rotation of the foot panel in relation to the main panel. A transmission may be used in the assembly to connect the first pivotal connection, where the main panel pivots with respect to the frame, to the second pivotal connection, where the foot panel pivots with respect to the main panel. The transmission transmits torque from the first pivotal connection to the second pivotal connection, so as to counteract gravitational forces acting on the foot edge of the foot panel.

The knitted fabric includes a first layer of stretchable material; a second layer of stretchable material; and a layer of stretchable fill material between the first layer of stretchable material and the second layer of stretchable material. The first layer of stretchable material is knitted together with the second layer of stretchable material as a unitary sheet of fabric including the layer of stretchable fill material. A method of forming a mattress or mattress topper includes disposing a knitted fabric over a cushioning element comprising intersecting buckling walls and configuring the knitted fabric to move independently of the buckling walls.

Abstract: A folding ground cover assembly that can automatically pop open when released. The ground cover assembly has a fabric panel that is selectively supported by a detachable support mesh. The support mesh has a peripheral band that surrounds an open central area. Various cross straps extend across the open central area between points along the peripheral band. A spring wire engages the peripheral band of the support mesh and biases the peripheral band into an open, flat configuration. A first plurality of fasteners is disposed on the support mesh that engages a second plurality of fasteners on the underside of the fabric panel. The fasteners are used to connect the fabric panel to the support mesh, wherein the fabric panel covers the open central area and the fabric panel is supported by the cross straps.

A margin stack including the bottom sheet and the support sheet forms a sandwiched margin left side and a sandwiched margin right side. The sled may further include a plurality of spinal boards disposed between the bottom sheet and the mattress. Wheel assemblies are mounted on each spinal board. The sled further includes a leg/torso cover coupled to the bottom sheet and dimensioned to substantially enclose legs and lower torso of the person when the leg/torso cover is folded upward over the person lying on the support sheet.

Abstract: A system for use with a bed having a frame and a supporting surface includes a sheet having a bottom surface placed above the supporting surface of the bed, a top surface, and a plurality of tether straps connected to and extending from the sheet. Each tether strap is configured for connection to the bed. The bottom surface is at least partially formed of a low friction material, and the top surface is at least partially formed of a high friction material, such that the top surface provides greater slipping resistance than the bottom surface. The tether straps include at least two pairs of tether straps, with one pair connected proximate a top edge of the sheet and another pair connected proximate a bottom edge of the sheet. The sheet may further include a sliding member on the bottom surface to assist in lateral sliding of the sheet.

The housing has a second side that includes a dock to secure a handheld phone in place on the housing. A hospital bed has a head-of-bed angle (HOBA) lockout selector that is used to signal a controller to prevent a head section of the bed from being moved below a threshold.
