  • Patent number: 7667693
Abstract: A touch sensing apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes: a flip-flop, a sensor, an AC signal and a detector. The AC signal supplies AC signals to the flip-flop. The flip-flop outputs a first type output signal at the output thereof when the sensor is not touched. The sensor receives electricity signals from an object, and causes a delay of the AC signal to be inputted to the first input of the flip-flop, the delay of the AC signal to be inputted to the first input of the flip-flop further causes the flip-flop to output a second type output signal at the output thereof. The detector detects a change from the first type output signal to the second type output signal at the output of the flip-flop and accordingly identifies a touch on the sensor.

  • Patent number: 5764219
Abstract: Input force applied on a pointing device (51) having outputs (x,y) is related to the velocity of a cursor on a video screen according to a transfer function (FIG. 2) substantially described by a parabolic sigmoid function, thus resulting in adapting the force/velocity relationship to accommodate human perception and motor control limitations and task specific coordination problems.

  • Patent number: 5745101
Abstract: Method and apparatus of controlling an image display process in which image data is input to display an image of the image data on a display. The input image data is stored in a first memory with respect to pixels, and a second memory, having at least an address space corresponding to a display region on the display in which the image of the image data is displayed, stores, in each display address, address information on an address of the first memory in which pixel data in the image data on a pixel to be displayed in the display region in accordance with the display address. The address information on the address in which the pixel data is stored is read out and the pixel data is read out from the first memory based on the address information to display the pixel.

  • Patent number: 5434594
Abstract: An improved peripheral device for a computer includes a miniature motion-sensing mechanism which is placed in a pen-shaped body to allow computer input to be accomplished by a user in the familiar form of a pen or pencil. The mechanism include a rolling ball supported at six points by support shafts whose movement in response to ball motion is converted into signals indicative of the direction and magnitude of the movement of the device.

  • Patent number: 5371510
Abstract: An automotive display apparatus displays synthetically an ordinary information like a vehicle speed value and a warning information like a remaining fuel amount by using a half mirror as a close range view and a distant range view. A control means determines contents of the ordinary information and the warning information on the basis of input signals from a plurality of sensors. When the warning information is displayed, the warning information is provided at a position that the warning information overlaps with the ordinary information in the line direction of a driver's sight and the warning information is away from the ordinary information by a predetermined distance to enable the driver to notice and observe the warning information easily. At the same time, the ordinary information at the overlap portion of the ordinary and warning information in the line direction of the driver's sight is inhibited from being displayed.
