Abstract: A method and apparatus scan a plurality of scan groups in a capacitive sense array to generate signals corresponding to a mutual capacitance between the electrodes. Each of the plurality of scan groups is formed from a subset of the plurality of electrodes. A processing device identifies a scan group where the generated signal is affected by a presence of a conductive object. The processing device individually scans the subset of the plurality of sense elements in the identified scan group to determine a location of the conductive object.

  • Patent number: 8823606
Abstract: An EL display apparatus according to the present invention includes EL device (15) adapted to emit light at a luminance corresponding to a current fed thereto. A source driver (14) outputs a current higher than a current corresponding to an image signal to the EL device (16) through a source signal line (18). This operation charges/discharges a parasitic capacitance present in the source signal line (18). A transistor (11d) formed between the EL device (15) and the source driver (14) operates so that the EL device (15) is fed with the current for only a part of a one-frame period. • Patent number: 8593445
Abstract: A display apparatus employs a pixel array section including pixel circuits forming a matrix, signal lines as columns, scan lines as rows and power-supply lines, and driving sections. The driving sections are a signal selector, a write scanner and a drive scanner. The signal selector provides an electric potential representing a gradation or a predetermined reference electric potential. The write scanner provides a control signal. The drive scanner provides a power-supply voltage changing the electric potential from high to low. The drive scanner drives adjacent power-supply lines as a group. The number of lines as a group is determined in advance. The drive scanner switches a power-supply voltage from high to low and vice versa, and applies the voltage to groups by shifting the phase from group to group. The voltage is supplied to a group at the same phase and switched the electric potential.
