  • Patent number: 9395144
Abstract: A bowstring release mechanism includes first and second jaws pivotally connected to a housing with a trigger section operably associated with the jaws for moving the jaws between open and closed positions. The jaws include opposing faces that are in a juxtaposed relationship when the release mechanism is in a closed position. Due to deviations in manufacturing tolerances and wear, a gap between the jaw faces may vary in size. To that end, an adjustment portion is operably associated with the trigger and jaws for precisely adjusting the size of the gap. A second adjustment portion for adjusting the sensitivity of the trigger section is also provided.

  • Patent number: 9383159
Abstract: A de-cocking mechanism for a bow having an energy storage assembly mounted to a center support with a draw string that extends across the center support coupled to the energy storage assembly. The bow includes a trigger assembly that retains the draw string in a drawn configuration. The de-cocking mechanism includes a de-cocking actuator that automatically releases the draw string onto the de-cocking mechanism when the de-cocking mechanism engages with the trigger assembly. The user can then manually move the draw string from the drawn configuration to a released configuration. The de-cocking mechanism is preferably combined with a cocking mechanism.

  • Patent number: 9354015
Abstract: A string guide for a bow having a reverse draw configuration with a draw string located adjacent a down-range side of the bow in a released configuration. First and second string guides rotate around first and second axes, respectively, as the draw string is displaced from the released configuration to the drawn configuration. A first power cable take-up journal on the first string guide rotates around the first axis to take up a power cable. The first power cable take-up journal includes a width measured along the first axis at least twice a width of the first power cable. The first power cable is biased away from at least the draw string. The first power cable is translated along the first power cable take-up journal as the bow is drawn from the released configuration to the drawn configuration.

  • Patent number: 9279635
Abstract: An exemplary adjustable archery support system is disclosed. An exemplary system comprises an offset brake housing for mechanically interfacing the adjustable archery support system to a support post that provides a stable support for the archery bow from the ground. The offset brake housing positions the support post substantially to a side of the archery bow and out of the line of sight for the archer shooting the bow. When an actuator lever is pulled by the archer, its causes actuation, via a linkage, of an internal brake so that the entire system (and therefore the bow to which the system is mechanically attached) may be adjusted up and down the support post. Once positioned, the user may release the first actuator lever, thereby allowing the internal brake to reengage with the exterior surface of the support post so that the bow is stabilized and supported for a shot.

  • Patent number: 9255754
Abstract: An improved crossbow lock mechanism includes a trigger housing, a seer lever, a seer lock lever, a latch and a trigger. The seer lever includes an anti-dryfiring projection and a latch projection. The seer lever pivots relative to the trigger housing. The latch includes an arrow shaft yoke and a seer notch. The latch pivots relative to trigger housing. The seer notch engages the latch projection. The seer lock lever includes a latch finger and an impact finger. The latch finger is sized to capture the anti-dryfiring projection. A bow string is pulled back, until the seer notch of the latch is locked behind the latch projection. A nock of an arrow shaft is inserted over the bow string. The trigger lever is pulled, which causes the trigger linkage to push the latch projection downward and allow the latch to release the bow string.
