Abstract: A bicycle roller training device consisting of three rollers for supporting an unsupported or freestanding bicycle using rollers of a novel design. The rollers comprise a barrel, crowned or convex shape with a larger diameter in the center followed by a tapering to a smaller diameter near the sides or ends, optionally having a transitional taper to a larger diameter at the edges. Length of the roller is longer than the diameter of the bicycle tire to be used on the device. The convex center of the roller can either consist of center flat with straight or flat side tapers, constant radius, or convex parabolic shape.

The foot-therapy and toe-aligning device comprises a frame with a plurality of posts connected with the frame. The device is formed of an elastic material such that a user may place at least one of the plurality of posts between a user's toes and pull the post to stretch and elongate the post between the toes. Upon release, the elastic material of the post causes the post to attempt to return to its original shape, thereby causing it to expand out and conform its shape to fit snugly against the user's toes. Additionally, the elastic material allows the toe posts to be positioned and maintained at numerous locations between the user's toes for customizable positioning between the toes.

Abstract: A pole vault swing-up rack includes a frame body with upper hooks and a lower push bracket. The rack is designed to hang vertically from a horizontal bar—as a pull-up bar—by the hooks. An athlete hanging from the pull-up bar in an upright vertical position may kick his/her legs and torso up to an inverted vertical position to simulate movement of a pole vault. The athlete's shoulders rest against vertical uprights of the rack to maintain the athlete's shoulders and body in front of a vertical plane as in a pole vault movement. A trainer can use the lower push bracket to assist the athlete in the kicking motion. The parts of the rack that come into contact with the athlete may be covered in foam padding and a rubber coating.
Abstract: A multi-purpose box training system apparatus that is designed to enable a user to train his or her entire body in an effective and safe manner.
Abstract: A weightlifting belt includes a band of padding configured to be banded about a waist of a user and a continuous chain extending in spaced relation to the padding. The chain is coupled to the band of padding at a plurality of spaced locations along the padding. The chain is fixed to the padding at at least one of the plurality of locations and is moveably coupled to the padding at at least one of the spaced locations. In one embodiment, the center of the chain is fixed to the center of the band of padding. Also, the chain may be configured to extend about an outer surface of the padding when the padding and the chain are banded about the waist of the user. The chain may be radially spaced with respect to the outer surface of the padding.
Abstract: A spinal harness apparatus including a strapping system and a rigid member that is worn by a user during activity. An anterior surface of the rigid member is effectively linear and planar. The anterior surface may make contact with a dorsum of the user at approximate levels of an external occipital protuberance of the user, spinous processes of mid-thoracic vertebrae of the user, and a median sacral crest of the user. The rigid member may be tubular and comprise an inner and outer component with which a total length of the rigid member may be telescopically adjustable while maintaining a linear and planar contact surface. The strapping system may comprise an adjustable belt and suspenders. The strapping system is to be adjustably affixed to the rigid member as well as worn about a torso of the user.
Abstract: An elliptical trainer with variable stride includes a base frame, a swing unit axially mounted at the base frame, a pedal unit axially mounted at the swing unit, a damping unit for providing damping resistance to the swing unit, and a constraining unit including an axle axially mounted at the base frame, a pair of upper cranks respectively affixed to two opposite ends of the axle and a pair of coupling members respectively pivotally coupled between the upper cranks and the swing unit. Mating the constraining unit with the swing unit prevents the swing unit from overswinging, enhancing user safety.
Abstract: The invention relates to a recliner device for supporting a lying person, the recliner device having a foot and arranged thereon (i) a first movably mounted thigh support for supporting the first thigh of the person, (ii) a movably mounted second thigh support for supporting the second thigh of the person, the second thigh support being independent of the first thigh support and being combinable with the first thigh support to form a complete support, and (iii) a movably mounted back and head support that is independent of the first and second thigh supports.
Abstract: This invention relates to training apparatuses for the trunk musculature. The training apparatuses are characterized in particular in that the spinal erectors and the abdominal muscles can be trained. To this end, a frame has a sitting device with a seat for unrestrained sitting without contact with the floor, at least one backrest, a first fixing device for the pelvis, and at least one second fixing device for an arm or a hand. Furthermore, the seat including the coupled first fixing device is movable relative to the backrest including the second fixing device. The movable seat including the first fixing device and the backrest including the second fixing device advantageously result in the pelvis being movable while the upper body remains steady. The frame is configured so that the feet or the legs cannot support the upper body.
Abstract: An apparatus for exercising a person's calves in two different ways. The apparatus comprising a footrest, a kneerest, and a length of stretchable material for extending between the footrest and the kneerest. The length of stretchable material is flat sided and the footrest has a roller arrangement that allows the length of stretchable material to connect to the footrest such that the flat sides of the length of stretchable material slide over the roller arrangement. The kneerest has an anchor means for the length of stretchable material that allows the length of stretchable material to connect to the kneerest such that the flat sides of the length of stretchable material pass over the anchor means. The footrest, the kneerest, and the length of stretchable material are separable from each other.
Abstract: The present invention provides a sports mask for breathing training. The sports mask includes a head assemble containing clips to hold the mask against the head. The sports mask further includes a face band assembly that includes straps that are received by the clips present on the head assembly to hold the face assembly against the face of a user. The face assembly includes a face mask unit comprising an airflow valve. The airflow valve includes an airflow resistance varying module that helps in varying flow of air into the airflow valve. The control of airflow resistance varying module can be either manual or automatic when the mask is connected to a wearable device or a vital parameter collection device.
Abstract: An unweighting system includes a frame having a base and a vertical bar extending therefrom. The base is configured to connect to or at least partially encircle an exercise device. A height adjustable cantilevered arm assembly is coupled to the vertical bar at a fulcrum, and the cantilevered arm assembly is configured to receive and couple to the user. A resilient member is coupled to the cantilevered arm assembly and configured to unload a portion of the user's weight while the user is coupled to the cantilevered arm assembly and exercises on the exercise device.
Abstract: Various systems, processes, and techniques may be used to achieve a wheelchair-accessible exercise system. In particular implementations, a wheelchair-accessible exercise system may allow a user to perform strength and cardiovascular exercises without having to reposition his/her wheelchair. For example, a user may perform seven different exercises without moving his/her chair, or possibly even the trunk of their body. Thus, the exercise system may provide a comprehensive workout without requiring repositioning of the wheelchair, which can be quite cumbersome to those that are mobility challenged. Moreover, the exercise system may be adjustable and safe.
