Abstract: A media system configured to select personalized programming for individual users is disclosed. The programming may include content, advertisements, and/or interactive queries, each of which may be selected based on profiles of the users.

Abstract: An interactive television program guide system is provided. An interactive television program guide provides users with an opportunity to select programs for recording on a remote media server. Programs may also be recorded on a local media server. The program guide provides users with VCR-like control over programs that are played back from the media servers and over real-time cached copies of the programs. The program guide also provides users with an opportunity to designate gift recipients for whom programs may be recorded.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide various techniques for communication, collaboration, and resource sharing between television receivers operating at separate locations. In some embodiments, a television receiver device may be configured to identify and transmit various receiver data to other associated television receivers at separate physical locations. In order to transmit data from one receiver to another, the transmitting receiver device may establish a connection to an Internet Protocol (IP) network, contact a television provider server to obtain network addresses for one or more related receiver devices, and then transmit the data over the IP network to the related receiver devices. Additional aspects relate to identifying and sharing resources between associated television receivers operating at separate locations.

Abstract: Provided are a display, a display device, a player, a playing device, and a playing display system. The display comprises at least two first display interfaces, a decode, and at least two data channels. Each first display interface is configured to receive a first image data stream transmitted by a second display interface with which a connection has already been established in a player. The first image data stream includes at least one start data frame and a second image data stream, the start data frame carries a data channel identifier. The decoder is configured to parse each first image data stream, and obtain a data channel corresponding to each second image data stream. Each data channel is configured to receive and output the corresponding second image data stream. The display can ensure that images displayed on a screen will not be ordered, and the operation is simple.

Abstract: An exemplary method includes a media content presentation system detecting an access event initiated by a user and performed by a media content processing subsystem with respect to a media content program during a time period associated with a provider-scheduled presentation of the media content program, identifying a programming block of which the media content program is a part, determining that the user has failed to direct the media content processing subsystem to perform an additional access event with respect to one or more additional media content programs that are also a part of the programming block during a time period associated with a provider-scheduled presentation of the one or more additional media content programs, and facilitating, in response to the determining, access by the user to the one or more additional media content programs included in the programming block. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the video surveillance field, and discloses a trunk management method and apparatus for video surveillance systems. In the present invention, the connection priority of a surveillance equipment is the highest priority amon/between priorities of all clients, when multiple clients with different priorities access the same surveillance equipment. The connection priority of the surveillance equipment is set as the priority of a new client, if the new client accesses the surveillance equipment and the priority of the new client is higher than the connection priority of the surveillance equipment; the connection priority of the surveillance equipment is remained unchanged, if the priority of the new client is not higher than the connection priority of the surveillance equipment.
