Patent number: 10081714Abstract: To provide a biaxially oriented polyamide-based resin film being excellent in laminate strength, pin-hole resistance under a low-temperature environment, impact resistance, and transparency, and which retains satisfactory a good external appearance even after being sterilized in hot water. A biaxially oriented polyamide-based resin film comprising a polyamide resin and 1 to 5% by mass of a polyamide-based block copolymer, wherein the polyamide-based block copolymer comprises a hard part including a residue of cyclic lactam having 4 to 10 carbon atoms, and a soft part including a residue of polyoxypropylene glycol or polyoxytetramethylene glycol having a weight average molecular weight of 500 to 3000, and the content X of the hard part and the content Y and the weight average molecular weight Mw of the soft part satisfy the following formulae (1) and (2): X+Y=100(parts by mass)??(1) 478.74×Mw?0.2989?Y?93(parts by mass)??(2).Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 2012Date of Patent: September 25, 2018Assignee: TOYOBO CO., LTD.Inventors: Yoshinori Miyaguchi, Gaku Maruyama, Takanori Ishikura

Patent number: 10081704Abstract: The disclosure relates to at least one partially reacted product of an isocyanate and an amine (e.g., a reaction product comprising at least one adducted compound). The reaction product comprises polyurea oligomers. The reaction product can be combined with at least one amine in order to formulate a curing agent for epoxy resins wherein the cured epoxy resin has enhanced fracture toughness. The at least partially reacted product does not increase the viscosity of the curing agent and is at least partially soluble in the amine component of the curing agent.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2016Date of Patent: September 25, 2018Assignee: Evonik Degussa GmbHInventors: Pritesh G. Patent number: 10066338Abstract: The invention provides a process for preparing dyed, polypropylene-based fibers. Polypropylene having a Melt Flow Index of 45 or less is combined with an additive blend to provide the polypropylene-based polymer composition for forming into fibers. The additive blend is a terpolymer of ethylene, acrylic or methacrylic ester and maleic anhydride or glycidyl methacrylate combined with an amine-terminated polyamide, in weight ratio 3:1 to 1:1. Fatty acid monoglyceride may also be used in the polymer composition to further improve dyeability. The polypropylene-based fibers are readily dyeable by contacting the fibers with an aqueous dispersion of a disperse dye, to provide fibers with high color intensity (deep hues) and high dye substantivity and color fastness, without the need to employ temperatures in excess of the atmospheric pressure boiling point of the dye dispersion.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 2013Date of Patent: September 4, 2018Assignee: DEVAN CHEMICALS NVInventors: Xavier Almeras, Dirk Luyckx

Patent number: 10053562Abstract: Provided is a resin composition which contains (A) a polyethylene wax satisfying the requirements (i)-(iv) described below and (B) at least one resin selected from the group consisting of thermoplastic resins and thermosetting resins, wherein the mass ratio of (A) to (B) is from 0.1/99.9 to 50/50. This resin composition is useful for providing a toner which can be fixed by means of a relatively-low-temperature heating body and has good offset resistance, and which is suppressed in increase of particle diameters even if the toner is stored for a long period of time. (i) The weight average molecular weight (Mw) is within the range from 400 to 1,500. (ii) The molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) is within the range from 1.2 to 2.5. (iii) The penetration as measured at 25° C. is 5 dmm or less. (iv) The melting point (Tm) is within the range from 50° C. to 110° C.Type: GrantFiled: April 17, 2015Date of Patent: August 21, 2018Assignee: MITSUI CHEMICALS, INC.Inventors: Masakazu Tanaka, Kuniaki Kawabe, Hirotaka Kanaya, Keiichi Taki, Yuichi Kaida
