  • Patent number: 10932740
Abstract: A method for optimizing an X-ray imaging system during a mammographic examination. In order to provide an optimization of the X-ray imaging a breast is compressed between a support plate and a compression plate. A force-height curve is then acquired during the compression. An elasticity value of the breast is determined based on the force-height curve. A parameter of the X-ray imaging system is optimized based on the determined elasticity value.

  • Patent number: 10874364
Abstract: An apparatus and method for three-dimensional inspection of an object by X-rays. The apparatus includes an X-ray generator and a digital imaging device spaced from each other by a distance which defines a magnification by 1 on the imaging device. The apparatus also includes a means for moving the X-ray generator and identically the imaging device by unitary movements in two orthogonal directions. Each unitary movement corresponds to an integer number fraction of the side of the imaging device, and obtains, by successive shots after each unitary movement, a matrix set of sub-images overlapping in the plane of extension of the imaging device. Each sub-image has a center with coordinates in a plane of magnification equal to N. An image processing means performs magnification of each sub-image and determines a stretch factor enabling the coincidence of the sub-images representing all or part of a predefined element of interest.

  • Patent number: 10863957
Abstract: A method and a device are disclosed for controlling a scanning region of a medical imaging system for subsequent recording of a region of interest of an examination object. Depth image data of the examination object are captured. 2-D image data of at least one 2-D image of the examination object are created and the 2-D image is displayed. The 2-D image data and the depth image data of the examination object are registered to each other at least in some regions. By using the 2-D image, at least one limit position of the scanning region is then determined. Finally, on the basis of the depth image data and the limit position in the 2-D image of the examination object, a limit contour line extending through the limit position is determined and displayed such that the limit contour line is superimposed on the 2-D image of the examination object.
