  • Patent number: 10873636
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for offloading session management processing into a forwarding plane. In some examples, a subscriber is coupled to a network endpoint through a session manager during a network session of the subscriber in a network environment. A session manager offloading system of the session manager can be maintained in a vector packet processing system in a forwarding plane of the network environment. The session manager offloading system can be configured to offload processing from the session manager into the forwarding plane. Further, at least a portion of subscriber traffic in a stream between the subscriber and the network endpoint through the session manager can be intercepted. Subsequently, the at least the portion of the subscribed traffic that is intercepted can be processed at the session manager offloading system as part of offloading the processing from the session manager into the forwarding plane.

  • Patent number: 10873436
Abstract: An access device constructs a beacon frame, where the beacon frame includes a newly added field, and the newly added field represents multiple data guard interval lengths supported by the access device. The access device broadcasts the beacon frame, so that a terminal selects an available guard interval length matching a data guard interval length supported by the terminal from the beacon frame, and performs data communication with the access device by using the available guard interval length. Data communication between the access device and the terminal can be implemented when the access device supports multiple data guard interval lengths.

  • Patent number: 10863539
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for improving transmission opportunity (TxOP) truncation in wireless communication. In some implementations, a transmit opportunity (TxOP) period truncation or whether to update a network allocation vector (NAV) timing based on a message that includes transmitter and receiver information (such as a transmitter address (TA) and a receiver address (RA)) may be determined. For example, a station may receive a contention-free end (CF-End) frame and determine a TxOP period truncation based on comparing a TA and an RA included in the CF-End frame with a TA and an RA included in an earlier received message (e.g., an RTS). Such information may be compared to other TAs or RAs associated with NAV timing values and the NAV timing may be set, reset, updated, or canceled based on the comparison.

  • Patent number: 10849086
Abstract: A battery powered node within a wireless mesh network maintains a mapping between temperature and oscillator drift and compensates for oscillator drift based on this mapping. When the mapping includes insufficient data points to map the current temperature to an oscillator drift value, the battery powered node requests calibration packets from an adjacent upstream node in the network. The adjacent node transmits two calibration packets with a transmit time delta and also indicates this time delta in the first calibration packet. The battery powered node receives the two calibration packets and measures the receive time delta. The battery powered node compares the transmit time delta to the receive time delta to determine oscillator drift compared to an oscillator in the adjacent node. The battery powered node then updates the mapping based on the current temperature and determined oscillator drift.

  • Patent number: 10790884
Abstract: In an example of multi-user wireless communications, an access point may send a downlink frame, including a first signaling field and a second signaling field, to multiple stations. The first and second signaling fields are located in a header of the downlink frame. The first signaling field indicates whether the downlink frame is associated with a multi-user (MU) multi-input multi-output (MIMO) transmission. The second signaling field includes an attribute of the MU-MIMO transmission or a non-MU-MIMO transmission. A resource unit of the downlink frame includes a MU-MIMO payload when the downlink frame is associated with the MU-MIMO transmission. A resource unit of the downlink frame includes a non-MU-MIMO payload when the downlink frame is associated with the non-MU-MIMO transmission. The stations may decode one or more portions of the downlink frame based on the attribute in the second signaling field. Other methods, apparatus, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.
