Abstract: Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, devices, systems and methods of wireless transmission over a bonded channel. For example, a wireless station may be configured to determine a Clear Channel Assessment (CCA) busy state of a secondary channel in a directional wireless communication band upon detecting transmission of a first packet over the secondary channel; to determine a CCA idle state of the secondary channel upon detecting transmission of a second packet indicating an end of a transmission sequence including the first packet; and to process transmission of a wireless transmission over a bonded channel including a primary channel and the secondary channel, if the CCA state of the secondary channel and a CCA state of the primary channel are idle during at least a back-off and an InterFrame Space (IFS).

  • Patent number: 10003618
Abstract: Disclosed are a device and method for providing a mobile Internet call service. In order to reduce a call waiting time for an mVoIP call, when a call is an initial call after power of a terminal is turned on or using the main call number, information for a call connection is acquired in advance and a light weight session is maintained. When the mVoIP call is made later, the maintained light weight session is used to make a direct P2P call. Therefore, it is possible to reduce a call connection time. As a result, a call waiting time is significantly reduced and thus it is possible to provide a rapid response and improve user satisfaction. When the light weight session is maintained, access to a separate server system is not performed. As a result, it is possible to connect a P2P call even when call traffic is heavy.

  • Patent number: 9998385
Abstract: A method for operating a communications network, in particular an Ethernet network is provided. Network devices that are coupled to the network have a switch device and a control device that is coupled to the switch device, and the switch device has at least one receiving port and a sending port for sending and receiving data via the communications network. Fuse devices for monitoring a particular data transfer rate are assigned to the receiving ports. The fuse devices block data reception at a particular receiving port when a previously determined maximum data transfer rate is exceeded. A possible annular structure using bidirectional communication paths and the limitation of the data transfer rate at the receiving ports improve fail-safety and error analysis in the event of transfer and hardware errors, in particular babbling idiot errors. The invention further relates to a network arrangement having a plurality of corresponding network devices which function according to said method.

  • Patent number: 9998374
Abstract: A method involves a Software-Defined Networking (SDN) switch that includes multiple Network Flow Switch (NFX) integrated circuits, a Network Flow Processor (NFP) circuit, and a controller processor. The controller processor is coupled to the NFP circuit by a serial bus. A flow table is maintained on each of the NFX integrated circuits. A SDN flow table is maintained on the NFP circuit. A copy of each of the flow tables is maintained on the NFP circuit. Another SDN flow table is maintained on the controller processor. A SDN protocol stack is executed on the controller processor. A SDN protocol message is received onto the SDN switch via one of the NFX integrated circuits. The SDN protocol message is communicated across a network link to the NFP circuit, and across the serial bus from the NFP circuit to the controller processor such that the SDN protocol message is received and processed by the SDN protocol stack executing on the controller processor.

  • Patent number: 9985794
Abstract: Systems, methods and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for determining interconnectivity in dense networks. The method includes generating, at a first network device in a data network, a traceroute packet that includes source and destination address information. The packet is encapsulated in an outer packet, and the encapsulated packet is forwarded to a second network device and to one or more intermediate network devices in the data network. A response packet is received from the second network device and each of the intermediate network devices that received the traceroute packet. The first network device determines, based on the responsive packets, an end-to-end path taken by the traceroute packet through the data network.

  • Patent number: 9973956
Abstract: According to one aspect of the teachings herein, a base station (20), wireless device (12), or other network node (36), determines composite dynamic subframe, CDS, information for a Time Division Duplex, TDD, carrier frequency used for transmitting one or more TDD carriers (22) of interest, from respective cells (18) in a wireless communication network (10). The CDS information identifies or otherwise indicates that one or more subframes in one or more of the TDD carriers (22) are dynamic subframes having a dynamically changeable uplink or downlink direction. The measurement configuration of the wireless device (12) is adapted according to the CDS information, so that radio measurements performed by the device (12) with respect to the one or more TDD carriers (22) accounts for the dynamic subframes, e.g., by avoiding measurements on the dynamic subframes, increasing the number of measurements made, or increasing the measurement intervals.

  • Patent number: 9960865
Abstract: A station (STA) can receive messages (e.g., beacon frames) at a regular interval, and perform measurements on the received messages. The STA maintains a running average of recent measurement values, and updates the running average after each new measurement interval. At some measurement opportunities, the expected messages cannot be received by the STA, and so the STA cannot perform a measurement; when this occurs, the STA can choose substitute values to use for the missed measurements when next calculating the running average. As one example, the STA can substitute the value for a previously-performed measurement for the missed measurements. As another example, the STA can substitute a predetermined low value for the missed measurements. Based on the value of the running average at a given point in time, the STA can take actions such as initiating a roaming scan or switching to a different wireless interface.
