After connecting links are used to secure anchors or buoyes to chains, the links often become corroded and it is difficult or impossible to remove the connecting link pin on order to release the anchor or buoy. The invention is a portable apparatus which can be attached to a connecting link in a position of alignment with the connecting link pin.
