Abstract: A user equipment (UE) is configured by a Master enhanced NodeB (MeNB) for operation with dual connectivity to a Secondary eNB (SeNB) to transmit acknowledgement information when the UE is power limited and for a respective eNB to determine a UE power limitation. The UE, the MeNB, and the SeNB adjust operation according to a partitioning of a UE capability between the MeNB and the SeNB. The UE capability can be a transmission power, a soft buffer size, a reception or a transmission of a number of data transport block bits, or a number of decoding operations.

  • Patent number: 10959159
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media can be operable to facilitate the configuration of a device with service set information based upon an identified association between the device and a private service set. An access device may retrieve and store identifiers of private client devices associated with the access device and identifiers of private client devices associated with neighboring access devices. The access device may retrieve the private client device identifiers from neighboring access devices or from an upstream network element or server. When a client device attempts to associate with a service set offered by the access device, the access device may preclude the client device from associating with a public service set if an identifier of the client device matches a private client device identifier stored at the access device.

  • Patent number: 10958692
Abstract: A security capability negotiation method is provided that is applicable to perform security capability negotiation during a mobile network handover. Moreover, a security capability negotiation system is also provided. Consistent with the provided system and method, it may be unnecessary for the MME to know the security capability of the corresponding eNB in a certain manner during a handover from a 2G/3G network to an LTE network. • Patent number: 10951536
Abstract: In one embodiment, a network security device configured to monitor a communication session between a first device and a second device generates a first empty acknowledgment packet specifying a first sequence number and sends the first empty acknowledgment packet to the first device. The network security device may thereafter determine that a response from the first device has not been received within a threshold amount of time and generate, at least partly in response, a second empty acknowledgment packet specifying a second sequence number. The network security device may send the second empty acknowledgment packet to the first device and receive, from the first device, a third empty acknowledgment packet specifying a third sequence number. The network security device may then store the third sequence number in association with the communication session between the first device and the second device.

  • Patent number: 10952079
Abstract: A Wi-Fi virtualized network operator (WVNO) function can be created by offering resources of a wireless access point (AP), for example, a Wi-Fi access point, to one or more third party service providers. In one aspect, the AP can broadcast two or more service set identifiers (SSIDs) that are linked to respective service provider over the same frequencies. End user devices (EUDs) located within the coverage area of the AP can select a SSID corresponding to a preferred network and connect to the preferred network via the access point. A routing device can be employed to direct traffic to/from the EUDs and a device of an appropriate network based on the SSID that has been selected.

  • Patent number: 10944852
Abstract: Establishing an expected transmit time at which a network interface controller (NIC) is expected to transmit a next packet. Enqueuing, with the NIC and before the expected transmit time, a packet P1 to be transmitted at the expected transmit time. Upon enqueuing P1, incrementing the expected transmit time by an expected transmit duration of P1. Transmitting at the NIC's line rate and timestamping enqueued P1 with its actual transmit time. Adjusting the expected transmit time by a difference between P1's actual transmit and P1's expected transmit time. Requesting, before completion of transmitting P1, to transmit a P2 at time t(P2). Enqueuing, in sequence, zero or more P0, such that the current expected transmit time plus the duration of the transmission of the P0s at the line rate equals t(P2). Transmitting at the line rate each enqueued P0. Upon enqueuing each P0, incrementing, for each P0, the expected transmit time by the expected transmit duration of the P0.

  • Patent number: 10939379
Abstract: A wireless sensor node is described. The wireless sensor node may include a wake-up circuitry configured to awaken the sensor when a request is received. The sensor may be placed in a sleep mode, thus saving battery usage until a wake-up signal requesting use of the sensor is received. Powering of the wake-up circuitry may be supplied through energy captured using an energy harvester. In one example, the energy for powering the wake-up circuitry is extracted from the same signal used for awakening the sensor. The wireless sensor mode may operate in a passive mode, in which the energy for powering the wake-up circuitry is harvested, or in a power supply-assisted mode, in which some of the power is provided by a power supply. High quality factors filters may be used to increase the signal-to-noise ratio of the wake-up signals, thus improving the node's ability to recognize activation requests.

  • Patent number: 10932187
Abstract: Resource-sensitive token-based access point selection is disclosed. A user equipment (UE) can generate a request for resources that can be shared with an selection component remote from the UE. The request for resources can be generated independent of the UE receiving information about an access point (AP) in range of the UE. The selection component can pair the UE with an AP resource based on AP data and UE data. The selection component can generate a token comprising information related to the pairing. The UE can receive the token via a device other than the AP or via the AP. The token can be employed by the UE to initiate a link to the AP to enable use of the AP resource by the UE. The link can be resource sensitive in view of the request for resources and available AP resources.
