Abstract: A system for clamping a bar, as non-exclusive example, a barbell collar, includes a first jaw forming a first portion of a hollow cylinder, a second jaw forming a second portion of the hollow cylinder, a hinge connecting the first jaw and the second jaw, a guide of the first jaw, a first latch element connected to the first jaw opposite the hinge, and a second latch element capable of removably connecting to the first latch element, the second latch element connected to the second jaw opposite the hinge. The first jaw and the second jaw form the hollow cylinder when the first latch element is connected to the second latch element. The system provides may include a weight that is attachable to the second jaw.

Abstract: A balance training system includes a moving carriage configured to be able to move on a moving surface by driving a driving unit, a calculation unit calculating a load's center of gravity of the training person's feet on a boarding surface from the detected load, a setting unit configured to set a stable range, the stable range being a range of the load's center of gravity, and the training person is assumed to maintain upright on the boarding surface in the range; and a control unit performing safety control for ensuring safety during a training attempt for driving the driving unit to move the moving carriage when the control unit determines that the load's center of gravity has fallen outside the stable range or when the control unit predicts that the load's center of gravity is going to fall outside the stable range.
Abstract: An exercise machine creates a simulated continuous resisted climbing motion. The machine includes a floor- or ground-contacting base frame and two or more substantially vertically oriented uprights, wherein at least one upright is rigidly connected to the base frame. The machine further includes two handles and two foot pedals, each handle and each foot pedal being movably engaged with an upright for linear reciprocating motion along the upright. The handles and foot pedals are interconnected so that they move concurrently. An adjustable resistance mechanism may be operatively connected to the interconnection of the handles and foot pedals to provide adjustable resistance for the simulated continuous climbing motion.
Abstract: The present invention relates an exercising system. The exercising system is a geodesic dome structure coupled with an exercise device such as a flywheel. The geodesic dome is made up of multiple struts coupled to each other at multiple hubs. The exercise device is engaged with the hub to allow a user to exercise through the flywheel.
Abstract: According to a first embodiment of the present application, Applicant discloses an aquatic exercise device for assisting a swimmer to practice swimming in place. The device comprises: a pair of tines, each tine comprising an upper end and a lower end; a fork root attached to the upper ends of the pair of tines; and a suspension element attached to and suspending the fork root. The suspension element suspends the fork root and the upper ends of the tines above water comprising a practice area, the lower ends of the tines are submerged in the water of the practice area, and the pair of tines operative to maintaining a position of the swimmer in the practice area.

A right handle and a left handle are connected to respective right and left sides of the frame, the right handle moving within a first range of motion, the left handle moving within a second range of motion. A right pedal and a left pedal are connected to the respective right and left sides of the frame, the right pedal moving within a third range of motion, the left pedal moving within a forth range of motion. The right handle, the left handle, the right pedal, and the left pedal movable generally in the same plane. An angle between the frame and a plane parallel to an underside of the base is adjustable while the climber exercise machine is mounted by a user.
Abstract: An interactive exercise system includes a mechanical support system and a display module held by the mechanical support system. A force-controlled motor is attached to the mechanical support system and a reel is driven by the force-controlled motor. The interactive exercise system also has a handle graspable by a user and includes a cord extending between the reel and the handle. The handle or other accessory can be attached by a quick release mechanism. Force applied through the force-controlled motor is based at least in part on detected user force input.

Abstract: A training apparatus for the simulation of rowing training includes a rolling seat to be moved linearly back and forth on a guide on a frame. Two handles which can be rotated independently of one another are mounted on an oarlock shaft. The oarlock shafts are connected to a drive mechanism in a force-flow connection. Upon introduction of force to the handles, power is output to a braking device via a drive mechanism, which has a freewheel between the oarlock shafts and the braking device. Upon actuation of the handles in a first direction about the axis of the respective rowlock shafts, power is transmitted to the braking device, and, upon actuation of the handles in the opposite direction the handles return without power being transmitted to the braking device.

Abstract: An exercise apparatus includes a ring rotatably supported within a frame. First and second pedals are supported on first and second pedal shafts, and each pedal shaft is pivotally attached to the ring. Each pedal may be pivotal from a folded position wherein the pedal shaft lies on a radius of the ring, to a deployed position wherein the pedal shaft is perpendicular to a plane defined by the ring. Each pedal has a lock out device for holding the pedal in the unfolded position. The apparatus has no central hub or axle. Foldable or removable legs or supports, if used, may be attachable to the frame, or made part of the frame, for holding the frame in an upright position when the apparatus is in use. The exercise apparatus is compact and lightweight.
Abstract: Improvements in an exercise cycle is disclosed. The cycle is adaptable to an office chair with a hook feature that allows for easy engaging and disengaging of an office chair floor leg, support or caster. The extending hook allows for users of different heights to make use of the chair hook without requiring a user to change hooks to accommodate different heights of a user and office chair casters. The pedals are connected through a common axis and connect to a loading mechanism. There can be a flywheel and a transmission that alters the turning rate of the flywheel and/or the loading mechanism. The size and shape of the resistance loading housing is configured to fit under a common office desk. The user's weight, is transferred to the plate through the office chair caster to improve the stability of the desk bike.
Abstract: An apparatus for support of exercise activities includes a frame having a first Y-shaped portion adjoining a second Y-shaped portion. The two Y-shaped portions share a common leg having opposing ends. Each of the Y-shaped portions has two outboard ends. A support member is coupled to each of the opposing ends of the common leg, each of the two outboard ends of the first Y-shaped portion, and each of the two outboard ends of the second Y-shaped portion. Abstract: A system and a method of treatment using a universal cage creating a coordinate method of exercise. Physical therapy or fitness exercises are provided to a patient through a system of cords, blocks and belts disposed on a plurality of grid panels through a plurality of mounting devices. Placement of the mounting devices on the grid panel is determined by which muscle groups are receiving therapy and the type of movement required. Once the placement for each movement is determined, the coordinates of the mounting device are captured so that the mounting devices can be preset consistently for each therapy session.
