  • Patent number: 11255166
Abstract: Migration of formation solids in a wellbore is restrained by feeding a slurry, comprising water, a viscosifier, and a concentration of cement clinker particles, into the wellbore, and hydrating the clinker particles in the wellbore. The clinker particles are kept in suspension during the hydrating, and upon completion of the hydrating the hydrated clinker particles form a hardened cement consisting of a permeable structure of interconnected hydrated clinker particles. A layer of degradable lost circulation material (LCM) may be employed to separate the slurry with clinker particles from the formation surrounding the wellbore during hydrating of the clinker particles.

  • Patent number: 11248162
Abstract: A viscosified aqueous solution, optionally for use in a subterranean wellbore, is made by reacting in aqueous solution (i) an initial polymer with either carboxylic acid or amino groups on its polymer chain, (ii) a second compound with an amino group or carboxylic acid group, and (iii) a coupling agent, so that molecules of the second compound join to the polymer chain through amide groups, thereby forming an aqueous solution of a modified polymer which, without separation from the aqueous solution, participates in cross-linking thereby enhancing viscosity of the solution. The second compound may include hydrophobic groups so that the modified polymer contains hydrophobic groups and is able to cross-link with itself or a viscoelastic surfactant through association of hydrophobic groups (without covalent bond formation) in aqueous solution. Such cross-links can reform after the fluid has been subjected to shear.

  • Patent number: 11168555
Abstract: A method for temporary isolation of a well interval is proposed, the method comprising: pumping a first slurry into the well, the slurry comprising a viscous carrier fluid, degradable particulates, and degradable fibers, until a first filter cake is formed; and pumping a second slurry into the well, the slurry comprising a viscous carrier fluid, non-degradable particulates, and degradable fibers, until a second filter cake is formed. The first and the second slurries are not mixed when pumped into the well. To ensure optimum interval isolation, the ratio of the volume of the first slurry to the volume of the second slurry should be in the range 1:5 to 2:1. A method for hydraulic refracturing within an interval with several hydraulic fractures and a non-damaging well killing method are also proposed. The technical result is manifested in no formation damage and degradation of the sealing layer formed.
