    Abstract: A method of transmitting information on a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) in a wireless local area network system is provided. A responding station receives a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) from a requesting station, configures a MCS feedback (MFB) based on the PPDU, and transmits feedback information to the requesting station. If the MFB is configured as a response to a MFB request (MRQ) of the requesting station, the feedback information includes the configured MFB and a MFB type field indicating that the MFB is configured as a response to the MRQ of the requesting station. If the MFB is not configured as a response to the MRQ of the requesting station, the feedback information includes the configured MFB, a MFB type field indicating that the MFB is not configured as a response to the MRQ of the requesting station, and coding information indicating a PPDU coding type.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a method and system for offset decoding of resource elements in a resource block to compensate for propagation delay in uplink coordinated multipoint service. A determination may be made that the initial data symbol of a time-ordered sequence of N data symbols transmitted by a user equipment device (UE) to a base station (BS) will be received at an arrival time beyond an initial one of N equally-spaced tolerance windows for simultaneous decoding of data symbols received from UEs. If it is determined that the arrival time will be within a subsequent one of the N equally-spaced tolerance windows, then the BS may receive and decode those of the N data symbols with respective arrival times in one of the subsequent tolerance windows. Otherwise, the BS may refrain from decoding any of the N data symbols. The decode data symbols may be merged with those from another BS.

    Abstract: In a multi-carrier cellular system, a second synchronization code (a Walsh code or a GCL series code) mapped on a second synchronization channel is used as a signal for specifying in which cell of the base station a mobile station terminal device itself is. A signal transmitted from the base station to the mobile station terminal device is mapped in a radio frame having two-dimensional extension in frequency and time directions. When mapping a certain series number of the second code for specifying a cell or a cell group on the radio frame as the second synchronization channel, phase rotation or circular shift in which one radio frame is one cycle is applied to the second synchronization code. On the receiving side, the head timing of the radio frame is known by knowing the phase rotation angle or the amount of circular shift of the second synchronization code.
