  • Patent number: 11589360
Abstract: A system and method for distributed wireless communications comprising a first group of agents selected and configured to wirelessly transmit a communication signal to a client, wherein the first group of agents is capable of forming a radiation beam carrying the communication signal vectored substantially toward the client, and a second group of agents selected and configured to wirelessly broadcast communication signal interference, wherein the second group of agents is capable of forming a radiation beam not vectored substantially toward the client. Consequently, the first group of agents securely communicates with the client and the second group of agents suppresses the ability of an unauthorized, eavesdropping receiver from intercepting the communications signal.

  • Patent number: 11576192
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for prioritization of uplink transmissions in the event that periodic configured uplink transmissions of a first priority have overlapping time or frequency resources with other uplink transmissions of a second priority, based on a collision resolution configuration. The collision resolution configuration may be preconfigured at a transmitting device such as a user equipment (UE) or indicated to the UE from a network node such as a base station. In some examples, the collision resolution configuration may indicate how the UE is to handle collisions between periodic high priority uplink transmissions (e.g., uplink control channel transmissions configured according to a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configuration) and lower priority uplink transmissions, which may be configured uplink transmissions or dynamically granted uplink transmissions.

  • Patent number: 11470659
Abstract: Examples provide a system and method for initiating contactless communication sessions between computing devices using a variety of modalities. A user pre-registers a selected modality for triggering session initiation. A session initiation device generates trigger data based on a detected occurrence of a predetermined event corresponding to a user selected modality, such as, but not limited to, biometric data, a unique user identifier (ID), a vehicle identifier, or any other type of modality. The trigger data is mapped to a mobile device ID. The mobile device ID can be requested from a connection server. The communication session is established between the first computing device and the mobile user device using the mobile device identifier. The computing device transmits data to the mobile user device via the established communication session when the computing device is brought into proximity to the mobile user device.

Abstract: A system and method for providing both localized and distributed transmission modes for EPDCCH is disclosed, where one EPDCCH comprises of one or multiple CCEs. Localized versus distributed transmission may be defined in terms of the EPDCCH to CCE resource mapping. In a localized transmission CCEs are restricted to be contained within one PRB. In a distributed transmission a CCE spans over multiple PRBs. A UE can be configured to either receive the EPDCCH only in localized or only in distributed transmissions. A UE can also be configured to expect EPDCCH transmissions in both localized and distributed transmissions. In each PRB configured by the higher layer as an EPDCCH resource, 24 REs that may be used for any DMRS transmission are always reserved and not used for EPDCCH transmission.
