Patent number: 11881695Abstract: A one-piece injection molded plastic electrical box. The box has an integrated lid which is connected to the body of the box via a living hinge, also formed during the molding process. Four slots on either of four walls allow wires to enter the box from all sides. These openings have doors are designed to bend down, allowing space for the wires to be inserted. Once all wires are placed within the box, the top lid is closed and latched. The bent opening doors act as clamps to secure the wires by applying pressure to the wires as those doors attempt to bend back to their original orientation. This box may be installed without requiring power to be cut off to the splice connection.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 2021Date of Patent: January 23, 2024Inventors: Dale J. Crook, Richard G. Brull

Patent number: 11852151Abstract: The present invention is an HVAC fan array wiring system that provides a quick connect box that is provided within the air stream of an HVAC air handler. Because the wiring for each fan within the fan array is to be connected to the quick connect box, the wiring materials and placement of the wiring can be predetermined at the time the fan array is designed. Accordingly, the novel wiring system and quick connect box reduces redundancies in manufacturing and installation of the fan array. Furthermore, the quick connect box and wiring system allows for easy installation of the HVAC fan array at a job site and improves a customer's experience with the control panel. This is primarily because, with the use of the claimed invention, an electrician need only link a main control and power line to the quick connect box and therefore, can install the control panel in a location that provides ease of access to the customer.Type: GrantFiled: July 1, 2022Date of Patent: December 26, 2023Assignee: Q-PAC SYSTEMS, INC.Inventors: Robert Clarke Story, Matthew Wayne Kent, David Kurt Thomas

Patent number: 11824341Abstract: A dielectric cover for an insulator, supporting a high voltage conductor in an electrical distribution system, has holes for receiving retaining pins. The retaining pins are used to secure the cover over the insulator and conductor. Arched fenders, which may be circular or have a bottom opening, extend out from the cover and overlie the holes and ends of the pins. The fenders prevent birds roosting on the pin, increase the dielectric surface length between the top of the cover and the electrical conductor above the pins, and protect the pins from contamination issues which would reduce the dielectric properties of the pins. Contamination issues include birds defecating on the pins, which can create a conductive path between the bird and the inside of the cover, and atmospheric moisture such as rain, snow, and ice on the pins. Thus, wildlife is protected from electrocution.Type: GrantFiled: March 4, 2021Date of Patent: November 21, 2023Assignee: Eco Electrical Systems, Inc.Inventor: Michael Lynch
