Abstract: For remote direct memory access (RDMA) by a client to a data record stored in a cache on a server, a hash map is received by a client from a server. The hash map includes one or more entries associated with a key for the data record stored in the cache on the server that stores a server-side remote pointer referencing the data record stored in the cache on the server. The client, using the key, looks up the server-side remote pointer for the data record from the hash map, and then performs one or more RDMA operations using the server-side remote pointer that allow the client to directly access the data record stored in the cache on the server.

Abstract: Speculative processing of begin transaction database messages may include receiving a begin transaction message from a database client, transmitting an acknowledgement of the begin transaction message to the database client prior to forwarding the begin transaction message to the database server, forwarding the begin transaction message to the database server, and receiving an acknowledgement of the begin transaction message from the database server. In some implementations, the acknowledgement of the begin transaction message to the database client is transmitted substantially without delay after receiving the begin transaction message from the database client.

Abstract: A request to add at least a second user of a social network as a contact of a first user in the social network can be received. A social hierarchy indicating a hierarchical relationship between the first user and the second user can be accessed. Based on the hierarchical relationship between the first user and the second user, whether the second user must approve the request in order for the at least second user to be added as the contact of the first user in the social network can be determined. Responsive to determining that it is not required that the at least second user must approve the request in order for the at least second user to be added as the contact of the first user in the social network, the second user can be added as the contact of the first user in the social network without prompting the second user to approve the request.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for automatically synchronizing online communities may comprise identifying login information for a first user account associated with the first online community, accessing the first user account using the login information for the first user account, obtaining information from the first user account, and modifying, based on the information obtained from the first user account, a second user account associated with a second online community. Corresponding systems and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for enabling collaboration across tenants in a multi-tenant environment using single sign-on (SSO) authentication/authorization. Various examples provide for creating a user account and provisioning a subscription to a user (e.g., to enable single sign-on authentication/authorization). The user is allowed to access services (e.g., collaborative services) in a multi-tenant environment by utilizing a subscription authorization of the user without prompting the user to authenticate by logging-in again (that is, without prompting the user to log-in again after the user has already logged-in and been authenticated for a given session). Other examples provide for mapping webspaces through URL hosts where each organization (that is, tenant) has its own set of namespace(s).

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to unattended status and time-based messaging in an instant messaging (IM) environment and provide a method, system and computer program product for unattended status and time-based messaging in an instant messaging (IM) environment. In an embodiment of the invention, a method for unattended status and time-based messaging in an instant messaging (IM) environment can be provided. The method can include receiving a request from an IM user to queue an unattended status and time-based message, retrieving a recovery trigger for the unattended status and time-based message, and assigning the unattended status and time-based message to a message queue.

Abstract: A method is provided for managing a secure session for transporting user packets through an address translation device between a client terminal and a first transport session management server. The session uses a first packet transmission address and at least one second packet transmission address different from the first address. The method includes a step of obtaining, by the first sever, the at least one second packet transmission address from the at least one second transport session management server, so that the client terminal can transfer packets to the first server by using at least the two addresses.

Abstract: A protection against an unsolicited communication for an IMS (PUCI) system includes a call session control function (CSCF), and a plurality of PUCE application servers. The PUCI application servers make an evaluation as to whether a communication received from the user equipment is an unsolicited communication; the CSCF makes a decision on routing toward the PUCI application servers based on the evaluation; then, the PUCI application servers execute the routing based on the decision.

Abstract: A vehicle multimedia system simplifies a user's interaction with the system. A user may access a specific media unit by actuating a switch corresponding to a media unit. A preference unit detects the user's selection of the media unit and selects an end item based on a programmed criterion. The preference unit may automatically activate the end item. The preference unit may be overridden by the user when a switch corresponding to the selected media unit is actuated multiple times. The preference unit may also manage data lists and data packets that store the information used for the criterion comparison.

Abstract: Disclosed is a helmet mounted enhanced vision system which includes at least one camera, having a circuit board therein with an array thereon of closely spaced apertures, where each aperture includes an electronic light sensor and a computer die coupled to and associated therewith, such that each aperture behaves much like a digital camera coupled via to the other apertures by a network. The array of apertures each including varied sensor types such sensors having: different resolutions, distance to optimal focus point, and light sensitivity, so as to enable foveal displays, multi-focal point images and dynamic range enhancement, respectively.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for a distribution manager are presented herein. Specifically, embodiments may receive a request for support for a mobile application and determine a platform server to support the mobile application based on capacity data associated with a set of platform servers in an application table associated with the mobile application. Embodiments may also deliver identification of the platform server over the network, the identification of the platform server comprises connectivity information configured to allow the mobile application to connect to the platform server.

Abstract: One or more first devices may receive, from a second device, program information as part of a request to provide a contextual message, associated with particular content corresponding to the program information, to a third device. The program information may identify a time, a geographic location, and a television channel identifier associated with the particular content. The one or more devices may cause the particular content to be identified based on a fingerprint of the particular content; receive the contextual message that was identified based on the fingerprint; provide the contextual message to the third device; and provide, for storage in a content schedule, information identifying the particular content, a time period during which the particular content is broadcasted, the geographic location, and the television channel identifier. The content schedule may be used to identify the particular content after the particular content has been initially identified based on the fingerprint.
