Abstract: A computer-implemented method of displaying indications of relationships of device users is provided. The method includes determining relationship strength between a first user and at least one other user wherein the relationship strength is determined based on a frequency of communication between the first user and the at least one other user. A first indication corresponding to the first user is displayed on a display of a device, and at least one other indication corresponding to the at least one other user is displayed on the display, wherein the at least one other indication is shown distanced from the first indication based on the determined relationship strength. A system for performing the method is further provided.

Abstract: A method is provided for managing a secure session for transporting user packets through an address translation device between a client terminal and a first transport session management server. The session uses a first packet transmission address and at least one second packet transmission address different from the first address. The method includes a step of obtaining, by the first sever, the at least one second packet transmission address from the at least one second transport session management server, so that the client terminal can transfer packets to the first server by using at least the two addresses.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to unattended status and time-based messaging in an instant messaging (IM) environment and provide a method, system and computer program product for unattended status and time-based messaging in an instant messaging (IM) environment. In an embodiment of the invention, a method for unattended status and time-based messaging in an instant messaging (IM) environment can be provided. The method can include receiving a request from an IM user to queue an unattended status and time-based message, retrieving a recovery trigger for the unattended status and time-based message, and assigning the unattended status and time-based message to a message queue.

Abstract: A protection against an unsolicited communication for an IMS (PUCI) system includes a call session control function (CSCF), and a plurality of PUCE application servers. The PUCI application servers make an evaluation as to whether a communication received from the user equipment is an unsolicited communication; the CSCF makes a decision on routing toward the PUCI application servers based on the evaluation; then, the PUCI application servers execute the routing based on the decision.

Abstract: A vehicle multimedia system simplifies a user's interaction with the system. A user may access a specific media unit by actuating a switch corresponding to a media unit. A preference unit detects the user's selection of the media unit and selects an end item based on a programmed criterion. The preference unit may automatically activate the end item. The preference unit may be overridden by the user when a switch corresponding to the selected media unit is actuated multiple times. The preference unit may also manage data lists and data packets that store the information used for the criterion comparison.

Abstract: Disclosed is a helmet mounted enhanced vision system which includes at least one camera, having a circuit board therein with an array thereon of closely spaced apertures, where each aperture includes an electronic light sensor and a computer die coupled to and associated therewith, such that each aperture behaves much like a digital camera coupled via to the other apertures by a network. The array of apertures each including varied sensor types such sensors having: different resolutions, distance to optimal focus point, and light sensitivity, so as to enable foveal displays, multi-focal point images and dynamic range enhancement, respectively.

Abstract: For remote direct memory access (RDMA) by a client to a data record stored in a cache on a server, a hash map is received by a client from a server. The hash map includes one or more entries associated with a key for the data record stored in the cache on the server that stores a server-side remote pointer referencing the data record stored in the cache on the server. The client, using the key, looks up the server-side remote pointer for the data record from the hash map, and then performs one or more RDMA operations using the server-side remote pointer that allow the client to directly access the data record stored in the cache on the server.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for a distribution manager are presented herein. Specifically, embodiments may receive a request for support for a mobile application and determine a platform server to support the mobile application based on capacity data associated with a set of platform servers in an application table associated with the mobile application. Embodiments may also deliver identification of the platform server over the network, the identification of the platform server comprises connectivity information configured to allow the mobile application to connect to the platform server.

Abstract: There is described a method and a system allowing the use of at least one resource of a first automation system in at least one second automation system, whereby the resource is made available by the first automation system and an identification characteristic is used for the unique identification of the resource in the at least second automation system. A user is enabled to navigate in a simple manner between the application locations of originator and user of a resource. This is achieved by the fact that the use of the resource of the first automation system in the at least second automation system is mapped as a bilateral reference in each case between the automation systems and is stored in each case in a storage area in the automation systems, whereby the bilateral reference also contains application locations of the resource in the respective automation system.

Abstract: The invention is a system and method of controlling an access of a subscriber to a network. The method includes sending an identification of the subscriber and a level of access to be provided to the subscriber from a visited network of a plurality of networks (12, 14, 16) connected to a home network (10); in response to the identification of the subscriber and a level of access to be provided to the subscriber, storing a subscriber profile of the authorized of access to be provided to the subscriber; and controlling access of the subscriber to any network dependent upon a comparison of access to be provided to the subscriber and the stored subscriber profile.

Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for enabling collaboration across tenants in a multi-tenant environment using single sign-on (SSO) authentication/authorization. Various examples provide for creating a user account and provisioning a subscription to a user (e.g., to enable single sign-on authentication/authorization). The user is allowed to access services (e.g., collaborative services) in a multi-tenant environment by utilizing a subscription authorization of the user without prompting the user to authenticate by logging-in again (that is, without prompting the user to log-in again after the user has already logged-in and been authenticated for a given session). Other examples provide for mapping webspaces through URL hosts where each organization (that is, tenant) has its own set of namespace(s).

Abstract: One or more first devices may receive, from a second device, program information as part of a request to provide a contextual message, associated with particular content corresponding to the program information, to a third device. The program information may identify a time, a geographic location, and a television channel identifier associated with the particular content. The one or more devices may cause the particular content to be identified based on a fingerprint of the particular content; receive the contextual message that was identified based on the fingerprint; provide the contextual message to the third device; and provide, for storage in a content schedule, information identifying the particular content, a time period during which the particular content is broadcasted, the geographic location, and the television channel identifier. The content schedule may be used to identify the particular content after the particular content has been initially identified based on the fingerprint.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for recommending artifacts based on collaboration events in a collaborative environment comprising inferring, based on dynamic interaction, a group of close collaborators for a current user from at least one collaboration event, suggesting relevant artifacts based on one or more interaction patterns of the inferred group of close collaborators and grouping the suggested relevant artifacts into one or more high-level explanations for the current user based on the at least one collaboration event.

Abstract: Example methods and apparatus to transmit device description files to a host are disclosed. A disclosed example method includes communicatively coupling a field device to the host to provision the field device within a process control system, receiving an indication that the host does not include a version of a device description file that corresponds to a version of the field device, accessing the device description file from a memory of the field device, and transmitting the device description file from the field device to the host.

Abstract: A Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) session dialog is established between a first user agent and a second user agent. The SIP server receives an in-dialog message for the SIP session dialog. At this point, the SIP server is no longer aware of the SIP session dialog, for example, because the SIP server was rebooted. In response to receiving the in-dialog message, the SIP server sends a request not found message to the first user agent that comprises a server accessible value. The SIP server receives an out-of-dialog SIP REFER message. The out-of-dialog SIP REFER message comprises call state information for the SIP session dialog and is sent based on the server accessible value. The SIP server sends the out-of-dialog SIP REFER message to the second user agent. The SIP session dialog is reestablished. The SIP server can be a SIP proxy server or a Back-to-Back User Agent.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for searching and processing contacts. A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a mobile communication device has a transceiver, and a controller for controlling operations thereof. The controller is programmed to receive from an end user of the mobile communication device a request for a contact, and search for the contact in a phonebook of the mobile communication device. The controller is programmed to replace the caller identification of the mobile communication device with a corresponding caller identification that emulates the enterprise identification as if the mobile originated call originated from within the enterprise when the mobile communication device is not located within a vicinity of the enterprise. Additional embodiments are also disclosed.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for managing keep-alive messages remote to a wireless communication device. In a particular embodiment, a method provides receiving an application request from a wireless communication device for an application that transfers keep-alive messages and receiving a first keep-alive message from the application intended for delivery to the wireless communication device. The method further provides processing the first keep-alive message to determine whether a response to the keep-alive message is necessary. If a response to the keep alive message is necessary, transferring a keep-alive message response to the application.

Abstract: In V2V or other networks in which multiple video feeds are available to a participant, the participant's ability to select a particular video feed for display can be eased through the use of guided scanning. A guided scanning strategy is built based on operator inputs and used to select a particular set of video feeds that are initially shown as a video “slideshow” on the display used by the participant. Each video feed appears only for a limited period of time to enable easy participant review. Once the participant sees a particular video feed of interest, that video feed to can be selected for persisted presentation on the display.
