  • Patent number: 11463301
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A device in a wireless network may identify a resource for wireless communication, the resource being in a first state where the resource is active for wireless communication and is inactive for a communication failure recovery procedure. The device may determine that a communication failure has occurred during a first communication period. The device may transition, during a second communication period and based at least in part on the communication failure, the resource to a second state where the resource is inactive for wireless communication and is active for the communication failure recovery procedure. The device may perform the communication failure recovery procedure using the resource transitioned to the second state.

  • Patent number: 11463188
Abstract: User equipment associated with a legacy network may utilize a bottom-to-top search technique to identify relevant control channel samples. Generating a control channel that is configured for the bottom-to-top search technique may lead to poor performance in a single-carrier waveform, which may be disadvantageous as networks move toward New Radio. In some aspects, described herein, a base station generates a control channel that is configured to minimize gaps in the control channel, and a user equipment performs a top-to-bottom search technique to identify relevant control channel samples. By using the top-to-bottom search technique, degradation of single-carrier waveforms is reduced and efficiency is improved.

  • Patent number: 11452003
Abstract: Described herein are systems, methods, and other techniques for compatible packet separation for communication networks. A block comprising a plurality of packets to be transmitted over a network is received. The block includes a set of batches, and the plurality of packets are distributed between the set of batches. A pseudo interleaver depth is calculated for each of the set of batches to produce a set of pseudo interleaver depths. Blockwise adaptive recoding is performed using the set of pseudo interleaver depths to produce a number of recoded packets for each of the set of batches. A transmission sequence is generated using the number of recoded packets for each of the set of batches.

  • Patent number: 11418987
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for reporting latency of an uplink packet transmission in a communication network. A UE triggers an event for time stamping of an uplink packet. The UE identifies information on first arrival time of the uplink packet at a lower layer entity of the UE from a transmit entity of the UE, based on the triggering of the event for time stamping of the uplink packet. The UE transmits the uplink packet including the information to the network entity.

  • Patent number: 11405323
Abstract: A method and network device for forwarding data packets. Specifically, the method and network device disclosed herein separate the known data packet forwarding architecture in network devices, often implemented using a single component, into two components. In implementing the pair of components, functionalities directed to forwarding data packets versus buffering data packets, based on the detection of data packet collisions, are segregated. Further, the segregation of these functionalities reduces the latency observed in the communication of the data packets from these network devices to other devices to which these network devices may be connected through a network.

  • Patent number: 11394635
Abstract: An aggregated BIER networking system includes first and second aggregated BFER devices that are each directly connected to first and second receiver devices. The first aggregated BFER device receives a request from the first receiver device for multicast data packets generated by a source device and transmits the request to a BFIR device. The first aggregated BFER device also receives an identification from the second aggregated BFER device of the second receiver device that has requested multicast data packets generated by the source device. The first aggregated BFER device advertises a virtual BFER device that appears to be directly connected to each of the first and second aggregated BFER devices, and each of the first and second receiver devices. The first aggregated BFER device then receives a multicast data packet identifying the virtual BFER device, and forwards the multicast data packet to each of the first and second receiver devices.
