  • Patent number: 9277417
Abstract: Methods and nodes for balancing load on channels available for secondary usage by a secondary network (404). A channel handling node (400) determines channel quality metric values for the available channels, which indicate expected utility when the channels are used for radio communication. The channel handling node then adjusts the channel quality metric value of a superior channel with higher expected utility than the other available channels, to indicate equal or lower expected utility than a channel with the next highest expected utility, when the amount of channel queries (Q) from the secondary network exceeds a limit. The channel handling node then returns the adjusted channel quality metric value of the at least one superior channel, in response to a subsequent channel query (Q).

  • Patent number: 9276868
Abstract: A plurality of packets are received by a packet processing device, and the packets are distributed among two or more packet processing node elements for processing of the packets. The packets are assigned to respective packet classes, each class corresponding to a group of packets for which an order in which the packets were received is to be preserved. The packets are queued in respective queues corresponding to the assigned packet classes and according to an order in which the packets were received by the packet processing device. The packet processing node elements issue respective instructions indicative of processing actions to be performed with respect to the packets, and indications of at least some of the processing actions are stored. A processing action with respect to a packet is performed when the packet has reached a head of a queue corresponding to the class associated with the packet.

  • Patent number: 9271274
Abstract: A method for informing about power information and a base station are disclosed in the present document. The method includes: a base station informing a user equipment of at least one of the following types of power ratio information through signalings: ratio information of transmission power for transmitting a second category of control signaling information to transmission power for transmitting dedicated demodulation pilots; and ratio information of transmission power for transmitting data information to transmission power for transmitting dedicated demodulation pilots in a subframe where data transmission occupies only one slot. In the example of the present document, when the second category of control signalings and the data are sent, different transmission layers and transmission powers can be selected, which solves the problem resulted from an inconsistency of Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS) powers and avoids a demodulation error.

  • Patent number: 9247565
Abstract: A method in a base station for controlling a Random Access, RA, procedure is provided. The base station initiates (201) an RA procedure on a Secondary Cell, SCell, in a User Equipment, UE, by sending to the UE a Physical Downlink Control Channel, PDCCH, order for a RA procedure on the SCell. At initiation of RA, the base station starts (202) a timer in the base station. The timer is a timer for random access failure detection associated with said initiated RA procedure. If the RA procedure has not been completed before expiry of said timer, the base station sends (205) a command to the UE, commanding the UE to deactivate the SCell, and thereby stopping the RA procedure on the SCell.

  • Patent number: 9237108
Abstract: A method for emulating a jitter buffer by a telecommunications network monitoring probe includes determining an RTP timestamp for each of the plurality of received RTP packets. An actual time of arrival is determined for each of the plurality of RTP packets. An expected time of arrival is determined for each of the plurality of RTP packets based, at least in part, upon a difference between the RTP timestamps of successive RTP packets. One or more of the plurality of RTP packets is discarded from the jitter buffer if the actual time of arrival is greater than the expected time of arrival for the one or more RTP packets.
