  • Patent number: 11949807
Abstract: A method and system for distributing electronic vehicle accident status information over a network to a remote subscriber portable computing device during and after a vehicle accident may include transmitting a downloadable client application over a communications network to a portable computing device (PCD) for running on the portable computing device and for communicating with the server over the communications network. The server may receive profile information about a person and at least one vehicle from the communications network via the client application. The client application may then receive an accident report name with the client application and then display on the PCD a check-list of actions for completion in order to complete the accident report associated with the accident report name. At least one action controls a camera function of the PCD.

  • Patent number: 11929870
Abstract: Monitoring systems and methods for use in security, safety, and business process applications utilizing a correlation engine are disclosed. Sensory data from one or more sensors are captured and analyzed to detect one or more events in the sensory data. The events are correlated by a correlation engine, optionally by weighing the events based on attributes of the sensors that were used to detect the primitive events. The events are then monitored for an occurrence of one or more correlations of interest, or one or more critical events of interest. Finally, one or more actions are triggered based on a detection of one or more correlations of interest, one or more anomalous events, or one or more critical events of interest. A hierarchical storage manager, having access to a hierarchy of two or more data storage devices, is provided to store data from the one or more sensors.

  • Patent number: 11908298
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a smoke detection system and a smoke detection method. The smoke detection system includes a camera, a storage unit, and a processor. The camera acquires a current image and a previous image. The storage unit stores a plurality of modules. The processor is coupled with the camera and executes the plurality of modules. The processor generates a difference image based on the current image and the previous image. The processor inputs the current image and the difference image to a semantic segmentation model so that the semantic segmentation model outputs a smoke confidence map. The smoke confidence map is generated based on whether a current environment is a dark environment or a bright environment. The processor analyzes the smoke confidence map to determine whether a smoke event occurs in the current image. Therefore, a reliable smoke detection function can be achieved.

  • Patent number: 11900694
Abstract: A parking assist system for a vehicle includes an environment information obtainer, a storage, a parked vehicle detector, a space determiner, and a parking possibility determiner. The storage stores a reference parking width to be used for parking the vehicle. The parked vehicle detector detects a parked vehicle. The space determiner compares a width of a space next to the parked vehicle with the reference parking width and determines whether the width of the space is greater than or equal to the reference parking width. If the width of the space is found to be greater than or equal to the reference parking width, the parking possibility determiner determines whether a target object is detected at a back side of the space. If the target object is not detected, the parking possibility determiner determines that parking in the space is prohibited.

  • Patent number: 11872992
Abstract: In a vehicle user-assistance system, a user's voice is acquired before the user enters a vehicle, and the mental state of the user is inferred based on the acquired voice. Then, it is determined whether the inferred mental state is an irritated state compared with a criterial value. When the mental state is an irritated state, navigation that relieves irritation is proposed to the user having entered the vehicle. Thus, the user starts to travel with his or her irritation reduced or relieved.

  • Patent number: 11864926
Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying someone intending to leave a bed or chair generally before or shortly after the bed or chair is exited. These can allow intervention where necessary to prevent some falls before they occur. The systems and methods typically collect and aggregate real-time patient data to detect “attempted bed exits”—attempts made by a patient which indicate that the patient may be attempting to leave the bed or chair and, determine their risk for falling. Where done in real time, a patient making an “attempt” to exit can be stopped before or shortly after an actual exit is made, permitting staff to assist with, or prevent, the exit as necessary.

  • Patent number: 11853053
Abstract: The invention provides a dynamic risk analyzer (DRA) that periodically assesses real-time or historic process data, or both, associated with an operations site, such as a manufacturing, production, or processing facility, including a plant's operations, and identifies hidden near-misses of such operation, when in real time the process data appears otherwise normal. DRA assesses the process data in a manner that enables operating personnel including management at a facility to have a comprehensive understanding of the risk status and changes in both alarm and non-alarm based process variables. The hidden process near-miss data may be analyzed alone or in combination with other process data and/or data resulting from prior near-miss situations to permit strategic action to be taken to reduce or avert the occurrence of adverse incidents or catastrophic failure of a facility operation.
