Abstract: A system implementable using a programmable processor includes a plurality of pre-stored commands for building an inventory of audio, musical, works or audio/visual works, such as music videos. A plurality of works can be collected together in a list for purposes of establishing a play or a presentation sequence. The list can be visually displayed and edited. A plurality of lists can be stored for subsequent retrieval. A selected list can be retrieved and executed. Upon execution, the works of the list are presented sequentially either audibly or visually. The works can be read locally from a source, such as a CD, or can be obtained, via wireless transmission, from a remote inventory. If desired, establishment of a predetermined credit can be a pre-condition to being able to add items to the list for presentation.

Abstract: Correspondence is determined among i) groups in a first version of one or more groups of related tables and ii) groups in a second version of one or more groups of related tables. The tables have schema and table names and determining the correspondence includes matching groups that have matching tables, wherein the matching tables have matching schema and table names. A user interface is displayed, including first and second portions. A group name list is displayed for the one or more groups of the first version in the first user interface portion and of the second version in the second portion. A list of one or more tables within each respectively displayed group is displayed. Within each group of the first version the one or more table names are in visual alignment with respective corresponding one or more table names of the respective corresponding group of the second version.

Abstract: Prioritized user interfaces are disclosed. A user interface may include a menu including a plurality of selectable items displayed in respective menu positions. A menu position of at least one of the plurality of selectable items is assigned based on a prioritization level of the at least one selectable item. The prioritization level is based at least partially on a selection metric for the at least one selectable item. The user interface may also include a menu locator indicating a location of a menu within a multi-level menu structure. The menu locator may include a first indicator of a position within a first level of the multi-level menu structure and a second indicator of a position within a second level of the multi-level menu structure.

Abstract: A method provides a virtual presentation of a product and includes registering at least one registration code for at least one product on a website; after successful registration, viewing a virtual replica of the at least one product on the website, accessing at a least a subset of features on the website that allow user interaction with the virtual replica of the at least one product, and purchasing one or more virtual furnishings for at least one virtual room on the website, in which room said virtual replica is viewable.

Abstract: Graphical viewing of shapes and descriptive information in displayed graphical images. In one aspect, shape information is displayed in a graphical interface using a computer system and includes causing a display of an image and one or more shapes in the image, and causing a display of a cursor on the display device. Labels are displayed on the display device, each label associated with a different displayed shape. One or more of the labels are displayed within a zone of focus of eyes of a user of the graphical interface and one or more of the labels are displayed outside the zone of focus, where the labels displayed in the zone of focus are displayed differently than the labels displayed outside the zone of focus.

Abstract: A medical image display apparatus stores examination information of a plurality of examinations and image data resulting from the plurality of examinations, displays a plurality of selectable icons corresponding to the plurality of examinations along one of a vertical direction and a horizontal direction in a screen, displays one or more selectable thumbnail images along the other one of the vertical direction and the horizontal direction, and displays an original image based on the image data. Each of the one or more selectable thumbnail images is displayed in a smaller size than the original image. An input unit is configured to select a first of the plurality of selectable icons and a first of the one or more selectable thumbnail images associated with the selected icon, so that an original image corresponding to the selected thumbnail image is displayed.

In response to the viewer selecting one of the sub-areas, information is saved related to the selection and at least one function associated with the selected sub-area is executed. In response to the viewer again selecting the object, the object is displayed partitioned into the plurality of sub-areas with a focus placed in accordance with the saved information.

Abstract: Methods, systems and computer program products for displaying tag words for selection by users engaged in social tagging of content accessible via a communications network, are provided. A tag cloud, tag word inventory curve and slider control are displayed within a graphical user interface. The tag cloud is a visual representation of an inventory of tag words. The tag word inventory curve is a graphical representation of the words in the inventory by frequency of usage by others. The slider control is responsive to user movement, and is movable within a range that spans the length of the tag word inventory curve. Movement of the slider control changes the number of tag words from the inventory displayed in the tag cloud according to frequency of usage by others.

Abstract: To allow users to compensate for different and dynamically changing lighting conditions, the present invention introduces a graphical user interface shading system. The graphical user interface shading system provides a very simple intuitive interface to the user. In one embodiment, the user is presented with an adjustable user interface widget such as a slider that allows the user to select any shading setting along a shading continuum. The graphical user interface shading system reacts to the users control by adjusting a number of different graphical user interface elements in response to the new shading setting. In one embodiment, the graphical user interface shading system adjusts singled colored areas with a linear interpolation, text with a font color selection, icons with an icon bitmap selection, textured areas with a texture blend, and decals with a decal blend.

Abstract: One embodiment may be practiced in a computing environment and includes method acts for creating a new component model from an existing component model. The method includes accessing an existing component definition. The existing component definition is included in an existing component schema, which includes definitions of configuration parameters defined for the existing component including defining that one or more parameters are further configurable. Definitions of the one or more parameters that are defined as being further configurable are refined. The refined definitions for the one or more parameter values are stored in a refined schema defining refinements of the component definition, without including the existing component schema. The refined schema is stored separately from the existing component schema.

An action logging interface is operative to create a logged sequence of actions as the user initiates them through the data analysis user interface. And a token-based authoring user interface responsive to user selection commands to select action-tokens corresponding to the actions logged by the action logging interface to create an authored set of actions that has an authored sequence that can be different from the logged sequence.

Abstract: There is provided a method of representing new email messages on a communication device having a display. This method comprises setting a new message flag when an email message is received by the device; and displaying a new message indicator on the display when the new message flag is set. The new message indicator can be displayed on a home screen on the display. The new message flag can be unset when a messages screen is selected on the device. A computer readable memory having recorded thereon instructions to carry out this method is also provided, as well as a device comprising such memory.

In one embodiment, there is an avatar identification component configured to identify a plurality of avatars that are online in the virtual universe. An avatar aggregation component is configured to aggregate the plurality of avatars into an aggregated avatar representative of the plurality avatars.

Abstract: A dialog is configured to display first and second pages of attribute fields to prompt an input of attribute values for use in accomplishing the task. Each page is separately displayable in the dialog. According to exemplary embodiments, a dynamically alterable summary of the attribute fields and values is included on a portion of the first page of the dialog. The attribute fields and values included in the summary are arranged into groups. A first group includes the attribute fields and values displayable on the first page of the dialog, and a second group includes the attribute fields and values displayable on the second page of the dialog. A first software link is provided between the second group and the second page of the dialog to provide automated access to the second page via the second group.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and article of manufacture obtain user input during a playback of a macro. A series of user actions are recorded in the form of a macro. A representation of the user actions is displayed. The representation provides nodes that each represent the user actions. One of the nodes is selected and configured by the user to request additional user input relating to a parameter of the selected node during playback of the macro. The macro is played back and automatically pauses at the selected node. User input is obtained and the macro automatically continues execution utilizing the user input for the parameter of the selected node. Additionally, one or the user actions includes a selection of objects. As part of the recorded macro, references to the selected objects are stored in a non-graphical manner. During playback, objects are selected based on the stored references.
