  • Patent number: 9715056
Abstract: A lighting system can comprise an edgelit panel, for example a lightguide that may have a panel or slab shape with an edge that receives light from an array of light emitting diodes extending along the edge. The lightguide can guide the received light towards an opposing edge of the lightguide and gradually release light to provide illumination. An optic can manage light that reaches the opposing edge of the lightguide, for example via softening, spreading, concentrating, or diffusing the light. The optic can have a tubular shape and may have lengthwise extending features for light management.

  • Patent number: 6980074
Abstract: A multilayer structure in which all the magnetic elements have the windings edged in the inner layers and the magnetic core which surrounds the winding has the legs penetrating through the multilayer structure. The interconnection between the magnetic elements and the rest of electronic components is done through the layers of the multilayer board, horizontally and vertically through via. For higher power components special cuts are performed in the multilayer board to accommodate the body of the components which may be connected to an external heatsink. The winding arrangement in the transformer is done in a such way to minimize and even eliminate the common mode noise injected through the capacitance between primary and secondary winding. The input filter is constructed to exhibit a differential and a common mode impedance.

  • Patent number: 6815627
Abstract: A keyswitch structure for computer keyboard includes a keycap, a first lever, a second lever, a base and a balance rod. The base has two holes groove lugs and each lug has a rectangular hole. The rectangular hole has an accommodating section on a bottom side thereof. The balance rod has a center rod section and two lateral rod sections vertically extending from two ends of the center rod section. The center rod section is pivotally connected to the connection stage of the keycap and the two lateral rod sections pass through the rectangular holes. The keyswitch structure has reduced gap between the balance rod and the base and thus reduces noise thereof.

  • Patent number: 6734381
Abstract: A wallbox dimmer switch includes an actuator mounting frame having a platform portion that is receivable in a rectangular wallplate opening having standard toggle-type dimensions. The dimmer switch includes a pushbutton actuator for a switch and an adjacently located dimmer actuator that extend substantially parallel to a first side of the platform portion. The pushbutton actuator includes a user-engageable portion having an outer surface of which at least the end portions are defined by a portion of a substantially prolate spheroid for minimization of undesirable coupling between the adjacent actuators during actuation by a user. The switch may also include an actuator for an airgap switch extending through the platform portion and an array of indicator lights that are displayed through openings extending to an actuator-presentation surface of the platform portion.

  • Patent number: 6727453
Abstract: The hybrid circuit breaker has at least two series-connected arcing chambers, which are operated by a commmon drive via a transmission (29) connected upstream from it. It is intended to be possible to assemble this transmission (29) easily in the interior of the hybrid circuit breaker. This is achieved in that the transmission (29) is formed from at least two transmission parts which can be plugged together, with a first transmission part being firmly connected to the at least one first arcing chamber and a second transmission part being firmly connected to the at least one second arcing chamber. The transmission (29) also has means which allow the movements of the at least two arcing chambers to be technically suitably matched to one another and to be optimized with respect to the time sequence and switching speed thereof.

  • Patent number: 6644585
Abstract: A coil assembly includes a spool that is rotatably attached to a connector. In order to wind a coil on the spool, the spool is rotated with respect to the connector until the connector does not interfere with the winding bay on the spool. Thereafter, a wire is wound around the spool within the winding bay to form the coil. Once the coil is complete, the spool can be rotated with respect to the connector until a locking mechanism on the spool engages a corresponding locking mechanism on the connector. Thus, a complete coil assembly can be manufactured in one operation with minimal manufacturing steps.
