  • Patent number: 10723080
Abstract: A plastic tank is comprised of two parts, a base and a top, that are permanently joined to each other by welding at a circumferential joint formed by two mating flanges of the parts. Fusion weld elements are captured on the faying surfaces of the flanges of the assembled parts, and the elements melted by internal heating of metal portions of the elements. Before heating of the elements, the flanges are gripped by a clamp which applies a resilient force which, during welding, causes the flanges to move toward each other and thereby a good weld joint is formed.

  • Patent number: 10640924
Abstract: The disclosed solution relates to recovering thermal energy from the operation of a dissolver of a chemical recovery boiler used in pulp manufacturing. According to the solution, a primary fluid circuit conveys green liquor from the dissolver to an external process such as causticizing and solvent such as weak white liquor back to the dissolver, and from this circuit solvent is diverted into a secondary fluid passageway comprising a heat exchanger which cools the solvent by recovering heat from it and transfers the heat to a heat-consuming process. After heat recovery, solvent may be used for further processes before it is at least partly conveyed back to the dissolver.

  • Patent number: 10619298
Abstract: Compositions comprising enzyme compositions are provided. Also provided are methods of treating virgin fiber and recycled wastepaper containing mineral oils using the compositions comprising enzyme compositions. The mineral oils generally originate from wastepapers with mineral oil based inks and certain other hydrocarbon-based chemistries used during the manufacturing, paperboard converting, and packaging process. The enzymes break down or modify mineral oils present in the fiber and paper, mobilize and liberate them from the fibers, and increase removal of mineral oils during paper recycling, pulping and papermaking processes. The method results in the break down or modification of mineral oil components in wastepaper, recycled pulp, and paper products by the enzyme compositions so that the mineral oils can be more efficiently detached and removed.
