  • Patent number: 10227207
Abstract: A method for a passenger-allocation in a multi-deck elevator group where the decks of the elevator cars are stacked above each other and being mounted in a car frame to be moved synchronously in an elevator shaft utilizes an improved allocation strategy. The method is performed by a control unit to dispatch the elevator cars for serving any passenger call which can be entered as a landing call or a car call, wherein a call creates plural allocation proposals calculated by an optimization algorithm carried out by the control unit for dispatching an elevator to a passenger call. The allocation proposals are then processed in a routing algorithm defining one serving deck to be taken for the allocation of a specific call, which routing algorithm is restarted for any further incoming call independent of whether a further incoming call is creating new elevator allocation proposal(s) or when a reallocation timeout has passed. A computer program carrying out the method is further disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10215160
Abstract: Aspects of the present invention provide an approach for controlling energy generation by an airflow originating from a moving elevator cabin. Wing pressure pads are positioned outside the elevator cabin extending to walls of the elevator shaft for preventing an airflow in the elevator shaft from above the elevator cabin to an area in the shaft below the elevator cabin. The elevator shaft is pressure-tight, and the elevator shaft has, at one end of the elevator shaft, an air conduit in which a first power generator stage having a propeller-driven electrical power generator is positioned. The method further intercepts a floor selection for the cabin and disables the power generators if a floor difference from a current position of the elevator cabin to a target position of the elevator cabin is below a predefined threshold value.

  • Patent number: 10207893
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and apparatus. In the method a determining a first position of a user of a mobile node is determined at a first time instant. A second position of the user of the mobile node is determined at a second time instant. A time difference is determined between the first time instant and the second time instant. A walking speed of the user is determined using the time difference, the first position and the second position. A third position of the user of the mobile node is determined. A walking time required for the user to reach at least one elevator is determined from the third position based on the walking speed of the user. An elevator call and the walking time are transmitted to an elevator call control node.

  • Patent number: 10196234
Abstract: A method for controlling an elevator includes controlling the speed of a vertically moving elevator car during its run from a starting landing to a destination landing according to speed settings, the speed settings defining a constant target speed for the elevator car. The method includes obtaining measurement data of the ongoing run, which measurement data describes vertical speed and/or vertical acceleration of the vertically moving elevator car, determining whether the measurement data meets one or more predetermined criteria indicating unintended vertical speed and/or unintended vertical acceleration, and changing the speed settings of the current run by lowering the constant target speed from a first constant target speed to a second constant target speed if the measurement data meets said one or more predetermined criteria, continuing the run without intermediate stops to said destination landing. An elevator is provided to implement the method.
