    Abstract: The invention relates to a grommet having an axis and configured to contain a wire harness and insertable into a through-hole formed in a vehicle panel. The grommet includes a tubular portion and a funnel-shaped portion, the latter including, sequentially from the tubular portion, a narrowed end section, a frusto-conical wall with external and internal faces, and an enlarged end section that includes an external face provided with a circular groove portion. The circular groove portion forms a circular ridgeline at a position nearest to the tubular portion. The frusto-conical wall includes a thin wall section having a substantially uniform thickness and extending from the narrowed end section up to a position about half way position along the axis in the frusto-conical wall, and a thick wall section having a substantially uniform internal radius and extending from the about half way position to and through the enlarged end section along the axis.

    Abstract: A redundant configurable VCSEL laser array optical light source which provides for integrating optical communications capabilities into manufacturing processes for a substrate or submount such as a silicon or ceramic substrate, a multi-chip module, a package board, backplane or similar component. Multiple, spatially proximate lasers and photodetectors are provided as part of an optical transmitter or receiver module to simplify assembly of the module, particularly alignment of a laser or photodetector to an optical fiber or waveguide. A feedback loop and control logic select those laser(s) or photodiodes(s) which are most strongly coupled to the transmission medium to produce the best signals. This approach greatly simplifies optical alignment, to improve yield and relax mechanical tolerances, leading to lower assembly costs and higher manufacturing yields.

The electrode array further includes means to quickly and easily urge the array from a first position, wherein the array is situated adjacent to the treatment area, to a second position, removed from the treatment area, so as to facilitate maintenance and spooling of the material to the treated therethrough. The present invention provides a more compact footprint than traditional systems, as well as providing an ozone removal system requiring a cheaper, less powerful exhaust blower for providing the low pressure differential to remove the pollutants, including ozone, from the treatment area.

    Abstract: A system, device and method are claimed for installing electrical switches and electrical plug connectors in a wall, without the use of junction boxes. The system uses prefabricated switch assemblies and/or receptacle assemblies. These assemblies contain either a switch or a receptacle that is manufactured into a housing. On the rear of the housing are one or two protrusions. Wire connector ports are disposed within the areas defined by the protrusions. The wire connector ports are coupled to either the switch or receptacle within the housing. To install an assembly, at least one hole is drilled into a wall and a cable run through the hole. The wires from the cable are stripped and inserted into the wire connector ports within the protrusion on the rear of the assembly. The protrusion is then inserted into the hole in the wall and the assembly is mounted flush on the face of the wall.
