Abstract: A system having an array of antennas with particular weights for signals associated with different groups of antennas. The array of antennas includes a first group of antennas positioned in a middle portion of the array of antennas, a second group of antennas positions at one or more edges of the array of antennas, and a third group of antennas positioned at one or more corners of the array of antennas. The system includes a control module configured to control each respective and tenant in the array of antennas. The control module can further be configured to weight the first group of antennas a first weighting amount, to weight the second group of antennas a second weighting amount and to weight the third group of antennas a third weighting amount. The weighting improves the system's ability to reduce ambiguities in an angle of arrival associated with the object.

  • Patent number: 11641576
Abstract: Method and apparatus for identifying a dual-mode wireless device, IOS device, and medium. The method includes: receiving a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) advertising packet from a slave device; extracting a Media Access Control (MAC) address carried in the BLE advertising packet from the slave device and that is of a master device that has established a classic Bluetooth connection with the slave device; and if the MAC address is a MAC address of a current master device, establishing a BLE connection with the slave device; or if the MAC address is not a MAC address of a current master device, ignoring the BLE advertising packet from the slave device. The method has advantages of a high identification speed and high identification accuracy. The method does not require an additional application for Apple's MFi certification, which saves certification costs, shortens the time on product development, and simplifies the production process.

  • Patent number: 11626901
Abstract: Techniques for automatically configuring and controlling a digital media device are described. A digital media device can be configured or controlled by a mobile device, e.g., a smart mobile phone. When the digital media device is being configured, the digital media device can broadcast a signal, indicating that the digital media device is requesting configuration information from a mobile device. A mobile device located in proximity of the digital media device, upon detecting the signal, can perform various security checks to determine that the request is legitimate, and then open a communication channel with the digital media device. The mobile device can provide user preferences of the mobile device, as well as credentials for accessing and downloading remote content, to the digital media device through the communication channel. Upon receiving the configuration information, the digital media device can use parameters in the configuration information as its settings.

  • Patent number: 11627617
Abstract: System and methods for out-of-band pairing sterile medical device with non-sterile devices without compromising sterility thereof. A system includes a sterile medical device; a non-sterile computing device; at least one near field communication (NFC) tag; and a sterile packaging enclosing the sterile medical device. In one example, a sterile percutaneous needle guidance device needs to pair and communicate with a non-sterile computer. The sterile device has an NFC tag embedded in the sterile device and an NFC tag embedded in the sterile packaging. The two NFC tags include identification information duplicate of each other. Before opening the sterile packaging either NFC tag can be scanned with the non-sterile device to initiate wireless pairing. If the sterile package is opened before pairing, the NFC tag contained in the packaging can be brought out of the sterile field and scanned with the non-sterile computer thus preserving the sterility of the sterile device.

  • Patent number: 11622254
Abstract: A network system receives an order request from a requesting device including a list of requested items and a delivery location. The network system may create an order entry by selecting a source location and a provider for the order. The network system sends order information from the order entry to a provider device of the selected provider and a source device corresponding to the source location, where the order information includes an order identifier, a source identifier, and a provider identifier. The provider device broadcasts a beacon including the source identifier and the order identifier. The provider device detects a short range beacon signal from the source device and determines whether the detected source identifier and order identifier match the received source identifier and order identifier from the order information. Responsive to a successful match the provider device verifies its proximity to the source device.

  • Patent number: 11575450
Abstract: Methods and systems for automated testing of extremely-high frequency devices are disclosed. A device under test (DUT) is set in a simultaneous transmit and receive mode. The DUT receives a lower frequency radio frequency (RF) signal from a test unit and up-converts the lower frequency RF signal to a higher frequency RF signal. The DUT transmits the higher frequency RF signal using a first antenna, and receives the higher frequency RF signal using a second antenna. The DUT down-converts the received higher frequency RF signal to a received test RF signal and provides the received test RF signal to the test unit for comparing measurements derived from the received test signal to a design specification for the DUT.
