    Abstract: The present invention relates to a material for shielding electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) between a, electrical conductor or bundle of conductors and the environment. The material comprises a heat-shrinkable woven fabric coated with a conductive material. Specifically, the material can be used as a jacket heat-shrinkable to fit with any sized wire, cable, data or signal line, antenna, or other electrical conductor. A method of making the material is also discussed. In the method, a heat-shrinkable woven fabric is coated with a conductive slurry. When the slurry is dried, a conductive material is deposited on the surface of the heat-shrinkable woven fabric.

    Abstract: The suede-like fabric according to the invention is produced by the process which comprises the steps of supplying aqueous chemical composed of acrylic resin, emulsifying agent and water to treating rollers through chemical coating means; passing the raw fabric cloths between the treating rollers having the chemical supplied and supporting rollers to produce a uniform chemical coating of 70˜200 g/m2, the rollers pressing and fixing the passing raw fabric cloths; de-watering and drying the raw fabric cloths having the chemical coating fixed under pressing in a thermal chamber maintained at a temperature between 80 and 200° C.; and heating and pressing the dried raw fabric cloths by means of heating rollers at a temperature between 130 and 150° C. to finish the acrylic coating through this ironing step; and a further step of rubbing-off the coated surfaces of the raw fabric cloths for abrasion by rotating a striker drum made of wood for a predetermined period.

    Abstract: The pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet for surface protection has a three-layered film formed by laminating a layer A, a layer B and a layer C in this order and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed on the layer C; wherein the layer A contains a polyethylene in an amount of at least 60% by weight based on a total weight of the layer A; the layer B contains a polypropylene type polymer in an amount of at least 50% by weight of based on a total weight of the layer B; and the layer C contains a hydrogenated styrene/diene type hydrocarbon copolymer in an amount of at least 10% by weight based on the total weight of the layer C. This sheet has excellent weathering resistance to undergo neither chalking nor fracture in the substrate at peeling, even after a prolonged outdoor exposure, develops less corona odor to enable extended operation of applying it, and can be manufactured inexpensively with reduced manufacturing process, since no anchor coat treating procedure is required.

More particularly, in one embodiment, the invention is directed to preparations that comprise a carboxylate-functionalized fluorinated polymer and a catalyst that is capable of forming reactive anhydride rings between carboxyl groups on the polymer. In another embodiment, the invention is directed to preparations comprising a polymeric softener having at least one anhydride functional group or at least one reactive group capable of forming an anhydride functional group, together with a catalyst for forming anhydrides from the reactive group or groups. In either embodiment, the resulting reactive anhydride rings bind to substrates, such as textiles and other webs, having free sulfhydryl, alcohol, or amine groups.

The hook material, and felt pad may be trimmed with a conventional cutting device to conform to the shape and size of the lower end of the furniture. The loop members are preferably inserted within the felt pad utilizing a needling or similar process.
