  • Patent number: 10706470
Abstract: A specialized memory structure is provided for storing parts of orders received at an electronic trading system. A received order is divided into a displayed portion and a non-displayed portion, and each portion is allocated to a respective part of the memory structure. The memory structure is configured such that while matching the order with a contra order, priority is given to the displayed portion over the non-displayed portion. If such a match occurs, the displayed portion may be replenished. The matching in the non-displayed portion generally occurs according to rules of applying discretion. The matching in the displayed portion may occur at the displayed price or according to the rules of discretion.

  • Patent number: 10699235
Abstract: Selection of web page advertisements for placement into a web page may use attention data that ranks the elements of the web page according to the attention the elements receive from users during interactions with the web page. The content of ads can be matched to the content of the most highly ranked elements of the web page rather than the web page as a whole. Alternatively, ads can be selected that historically produce a preferred pattern of behavior such as an attention shift from a highly ranked element of the web page to the ad.

  • Patent number: 10650357
Abstract: A technique for conducting secure financial and informational transactions via portable smart devices is disclosed, in which two transaction devices, e.g. an ATM and a smartphone or other smart connected device are both substantially simultaneously accessible by the user and are both independently connected with the account server by a secure connection between the transaction device for the ATM and a secure connection between the smartphone and a cellphone tower. Thus, authentication is provided by secure login on the two devices, i.e. the transaction device and the cellphone. Once the devices are both connected to the account server, handshaking between the two devices to confirm pairing of the right two devices is prompted, at which point, a transaction may proceed.

  • Patent number: 10552839
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for providing an interactive transaction dashboard. An exemplary system includes a first data store storing and a processing device in communication with the first data store. The processing device receives, over a network communication link, authentication information associated with a user device operated by the first user and transmits transaction data associated with a first transaction to be rendered in a graphical user interface provided by the user device, the graphical user interface visually depicting the first transaction as an icon positioned along a visual axis element representing a period of time. The processing device receives a command generated by an interaction of the first user with the icon and transmits secondary transaction data associated with the first transaction to be rendered in the graphical user interface, the secondary transaction data being responsive to the command.

  • Patent number: 10535064
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for processing and settling financial transactions. An example method comprises receiving a transaction from an originator. The transaction comprises information associated with an identification of an initiating user or the account. The method comprises determining the actual account number, transmitting a financial services transaction request comprising the actual account number to a financial institution, receiving a response, and transmitting a response back to the originator. Another method comprises receiving, from a user device, a request to associate a financial account with a user account. The method comprises generating and sending an association message to a payment network and receiving a key associated with the financial account for use in initiating financial transactions. Another method comprises utilizing such a key to generate and process a transaction request. Other systems, methods, and media are also provided.

  • Patent number: 10528951
Abstract: Methods and systems for dynamically generating a verification value for a transaction and for utilizing such value to verify the authenticity of the payment service application. The dynamically created verification value may be generated on a payment device, such as an integrated circuit credit card or smart card, embedded into the payment data, and transmitted to a point of sale terminal. Alternatively, payment data is sent by a payment device to a point of sale terminal, which generates a verification value and embeds it into the payment data. The embedded verification value is used by a service provider to verify the authenticity of the transaction. The methods and systems may be used in a contactless (wireless) environment or a non-wireless environment.

  • Patent number: 8768802
Abstract: A system and method for matching transaction records to merchant records of a merchant profile database is provided, the transaction records containing transaction data of financial presentation devices that are presentable to a plurality of merchants, the transaction data including merchant identifying data that identifies the merchant for the transaction. The system includes a memory storing a plurality of transaction records, a merchant profile database storing a plurality of merchant profile records, a processor, and a match logic module executable by the processor and adapted to recognize a plurality of variations in the merchant identifying data contained in the transaction records, the match logic module operable to match each of the transaction records to an associated merchant profile record in the merchant profile database according to the recognized variations in the merchant identifying data.

  • Patent number: 8751375
Abstract: Event processing for suspicious activity detection is disclosed. Financial events can be detected by receiving data from a plurality of detection channels. The data can optionally be enriched by adding additional details about events. An event or group of events is scored based on pre-defined risk factors and experience, and the resulting score can be compared to a pre-defined threshold. A case for investigation is established when the score is above the pre-defined threshold. Events for which the score is below the pre-defined threshold are sampled to provide the experience for the scoring. Events can be scored by obtaining a plurality of predictors, collecting training data regarding existing cases, and running a logistic regression to obtain weights for the predictors. The likelihood of a case for investigation resulting in a suspicious activity report can then be determined.

Abstract: A system, method and computer program product provides for portfolio analysis in one or more exemplary periods. The method may includes determining weight and return measures between a plurality of assets based upon the likely performance of the assets. The method may also includes determining at least one allocation measure (AM) of the plurality of assets, and decomposing the at least one allocation measure (AM) respectively into at least one static allocation (SA) measure and at least one dynamic allocation (DA) measure. The method may also include determining at least one variance measure (VM); and decomposing the at least one variance measure (VM) into at least one static variance (SV) measure and at least one dynamic variance (DV) measure. The measure may also include attributing performance of the active portfolio of the at least one active portfolio manager across the SA, DA, SV and DV.

  • Patent number: 8452620
Abstract: The provision of parametric D&O insurance and reinsurance policies is afforded by systems and methods for determining one or more parametric indices of the risk arising from aggregate litigation activity, which risk is correlated with the financial exposures (e.g., payment cash flows) of the insureds' exposed to such claims, and of the insurers who provide primary D&O insurance coverage. A parametric index is for a given policy is determined from a set of parameters that define the type, scope, timing of litigation activity for the index, as well as details how the index values are determined from the underlying litigation exposure. The system and method further determine whether payments are due under such a policy and their amounts.
