  • Patent number: 7832398
Abstract: Arrangement in connection with an anaesthesia/ventilation system for a patient comprising means for flowing inspiratory gas to the patient and means for flowing expiratory gas from the patient to a gas separation means and further through the gas separation means back to the inspiratory flow. The gas separation means comprises a chamber unit having a high pressure side and a low pressure side, the high pressure side and the low pressure side being separated by a membrane where carriers are fixed on polymer backbone. The expiratory gas from the patient containing retentates such as anaesthetic agents, N2O, O2, air, and permeates such as CO2, flows to the high pressure side of the chamber unit to have contact with the membrane surface whereby the membrane reacts with the permeates so that the permeates flow through the membrane to the low pressure side of the chamber unit and the retentates flow through the high pressure side of the chamber unit without permeating the membrane.

  • Patent number: 7691073
Abstract: A base section supports a revolution section. The revolution section supports a tilting section. The tilting section supports a seat section. The seat section includes a seat, a seat back and a step. The seat back has a restraining section. The restraining section includes an occipital region retainer and a temple retainer. Subject is seated with its occipital region and temples restrained by the restraining section. The head of subject is tilted on one side down from a head's horizontal plane in the Reid stereotaxic coordinate system to place one of left and right othlith organs within the head's horizontal plane. In this tilted position, different liner acceleration stimuli are applied to left and right otolith organs, respectively, for independent function tests of the left and right otolith organs.

  • Patent number: 7635000
Abstract: An improved tracheal tube anti-disconnect device for securing a ventilator tube to an adapter that is connected to a tracheal tube. The device is comprised of a neck band that includes a pair of anchoring strips that releasably connect the neck band to a neck plate, an anti-disconnect fastening assembly that releasably secures to the neck band and which positively retains a ventilator circuit in communication with the tracheal tube. A retention system is provided on the neck band to prevent the anti-disconnect fastening assembly and the anchoring strips from disconnection with the neck band, thereby ensuring the communication between the ventilator circuit and the tracheal tube.

  • Patent number: 7591264
Abstract: A device for taking powdered substances has a storage receptacle and a supply tube having a first end for dispensing the substances and a pivotably supported second end that has a unitary cylinder wall pivotably mounted on a stationary cylinder body having a through bore. The supply tube is pivotable back and forth between a first position of non-use and a second position of use. In the first position, the substance is air-tightly closed off in the storage receptacle. In the second position, the substance enters the supply tube. The unitary cylinder wall has a through opening. The supply tube has an inner opening. In the first position, the inner opening of the supply tube and the through opening of the unitary cylinder wall do not communicate with the through bore of the cylinder body; in the second position, they communicate with the through bore of the cylinder body.

  • Patent number: 7556036
Abstract: An anesthesia device has a device (4, 5) for the supply of at least one first anesthetic and a second anesthetic in a quantitatively settable, controlled manner. A data processing unit (6) with a corresponding display (8) is set up for determining the current concentrations in the plasma or at the site of action from continuously supplied data on the quantities of the anesthetics administered with a module (10) for a pharmacokinetic compartment model calculation and for storing these concentration values. Concentration data is predicted for at least one point in time in the future and this is also calculated. An action module (20) keeps ready the curve of at least one anesthesia action parameter as a function of the concentrations of the anesthetics in a stored manner.
