  • Patent number: 10869250
Abstract: A method for setting Wi-Fi roaming is provided. The method includes the following. Monitor an operation of connecting a terminal device to a first access point (AP). Obtain a first received signal strength indication (RSSI) of a signal of a wireless network received by the terminal device after the terminal device is connected to the first AP. Determine whether an RSSI adjustment value is greater than a preset RSSI lower limit, where the RSSI adjustment value is a difference between the first RSSI and a preset RSSI weight. The preset RSSI lower limit is set to be a roaming threshold in response to determining that the RSSI adjustment value is greater than the preset RSSI lower limit. The RSSI adjustment value is set to be the roaming threshold in response to determining that the RSSI adjustment value is less than or equal to the preset RSSI lower limit.

  • Patent number: 10869251
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling measuring the frequency of a new cell within a forbidden registration area when a User Equipment (UE) enters into the new cell in a mobile communication system are provided. If the UE recognizes the new registration area as forbidden, the UE does not measure the frequency of the current cell for a predetermined reference time, and searches for a suitable cell for a normal service by measuring other frequencies. If no suitable cell in the other frequencies is found, the UE removes a measuring limitation and searches for an acceptable cell for a limited service by measuring frequencies including frequency of the current cell.

  • Patent number: 10869363
Abstract: Embodiments of a User Equipment (UE), an Evolved Node-B (eNB) and methods for communication are generally described herein. An UE may be configurable to operate as an eRelay UE. The eRelay UE may be configured to operate as a relay between an eNB and an eRemote UE. The eRelay UE may receive, from the eRemote UE, a message that includes an identifier of the eRemote UE for paging of the eRemote UE. The eRelay UE may determine whether a first paging message from the eNB includes the identifier of the eRemote UE. If it is determined that the first paging message includes the identifier of the eRemote UE, the eRelay UE may transmit, to the eRemote UE, a second paging message to page the eRemote UE. The second paging message includes the identifier of the eRemote UE.

  • Patent number: 10849016
Abstract: In aspects of packet segmentation and reassembly for mesh networks, a source node in a mesh network segments an access protocol data unit (PDU) into a set of segments that are concatenated with a segment transport header and transmitted over the mesh network in segmented access messages to a destination node. The destination node allocates memory to store the content of the access PDU based on a segment total field in the segment transport header, and stores each received segment at the appropriate offset in the allocated memory, based on a value of a segment offset filed in each segmented access message. The destination node transmits a segment acknowledgement message including a segment acknowledgement field indicating which of the multiple segments have been received by the destination node.

  • Patent number: 10833973
Abstract: A network device receives an attribute identifying paths associated with an open shortest path first (OSPF) domain of a network and an intermediate system to intermediate system (ISIS) domain of the network, and provides the attribute to other network devices of the network. The network device receives traffic destined for one of the other network devices of the network, and determines that a primary path is unavailable for routing the traffic to the one of the other network devices. The network device selects a secondary path from the paths identified by the attribute. The secondary path is selected based on determining that the primary path is unavailable, and the secondary path is associated with the OSPF domain or the ISIS domain of the network. The network device provides the traffic to the one of the other network devices via the secondary path.
