A computing device provides a location of a requested file to a client device in response to receiving a search query of a master index from the client device. The computing device updates the master index with index data associated with the requested file, wherein the index data associated with the requested file is received from the client device.

Abstract: Metadata associated with content stored in a corresponding primary storage system is received receiving from each secondary storage cluster of a plurality of different secondary storage clusters included in different storage domains. The metadata received from the plurality of different secondary storage clusters is stored and indexed together. A unified metadata search interface is provided for stored data of the corresponding primary storage systems and the plurality of different secondary storage clusters of the different storage domains.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer programs for generating a playlist of media content items without explicit content. A vector space is created that represents explicit and non-explicit tracks in the same playlists created by other users and then tracks are filtered based on cosine distance between the “seed tracks” and all the tracks in the aforementioned playlist. The explicit tracks are filtered out, and tracks are sorted based on the affinity of the user to the artist.

Abstract: A method for file system reorganization in the presence of inline compression includes obtaining a virtual block pointer for an original compressed segment to be reorganized, the original compressed segment comprising compressed allocation units of data stored in a storage system, wherein the virtual block pointer comprises an extent list identifying the compressed allocation units in the original compressed segment and a pointer to where the original compressed segment is stored; copying only the referenced compressed allocation units in the original compressed segment to a new compressed segment in a substantially contiguous manner; updating the extent list to identify the referenced compressed allocation units in the new compressed segment, and the pointer to where the new compressed segment is stored; and freeing the original compressed segment.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for data validation are described. A user may store a set of data records on a source database and backup the set of data records at a target database through a data migration. A migration and validation server may initiate the data migration. After the data migration is complete, the migration and validation server may perform a validation process that includes comparing a calculated hash value from the source database and the target database that is based on unique identifiers and timestamps for each data record in the set of data records migrated from the source database to the target database. The migration and validation server may determine if the data migration was successful (e.g., the data was transferred correctly) if the hash value calculated for the data records at the target database equals the hash value calculated for the data records at the source database.

Abstract: One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for presenting content of an application are provided. For example, a first content interface, associated with an application, may be displayed using a first device. First activity performed using the first content interface may be detected. The first activity may be analyzed to generate a first activity profile associated with the first content interface. A first request to access the application may be received from the first device. The first activity profile may be selected from a plurality of activity profiles associated with the user account, based upon a determination that the first request is associated with the first content interface. Content items of the content items database may be prioritized, based upon the first activity profile, to generate a list of content items associated with the first content interface. The list of content items may be displayed by the first device.

Abstract: A device includes a memory that stores a prefetching model. A control module receives a content page including one or more links each associated with selectable content and collects data associated with the content page. The collected data includes at least one of first data indicative of respective relationships between each of the links and a viewport of the device and second data indicative of characteristics of the viewport. The control module further assigns, using the prefetching model, respective scores to each of the links based on the collected data, and selectively generates, based on the assigned scores, a request to prefetch the selectable content associated with at least one of the links.

Abstract: A database is selected from a plurality of databases included in the distributed database cluster. A shard map of the database is acquired, wherein the shard map includes a distribution of a plurality of shards on the plurality of nodes, and one or more nodes of the plurality of nodes each includes at least one shard of an old version of the database to be upgraded to a new version. A sustainable serviceability of the database corresponding to each of the one or more nodes is predicted according to the shard map based on the assumption that the at least one shard of each of the one or more nodes has been upgraded from the old version to the new version.

Abstract: Provided are systems and methods directed to identifying relationships between colloquial place names in a relational database. In some embodiments, a method of identifying relationships between colloquial place names in a relational database comprises receiving geographic location information; generating a vector corresponding to the geographic location; comparing the geographic location information vector to a plurality of colloquial place name vectors in a relational database that maps a plurality of colloquial place names to a plurality of corresponding colloquial place name vectors in a vector space, to generate a plurality of similarity scores that is calculated based on the geographic location information vector and each colloquial place name vector of the plurality of colloquial place name vectors; and identifying that one or more colloquial place names in the relational database are related to the geographic location information based on the plurality of similarity scores.

The method includes sending, from a client device to a global file system storing a file, a request to access a portion of the file, wherein the global file system includes at least one object storage system and at least one server, wherein the data of the file is stored in a plurality of objects stored in the at least one object storage system; receiving a cloud file descriptor from the at least one server, wherein the cloud file descriptor includes a plurality of download tokens utilized to retrieve at least one object of the plurality of objects from the at least one object storage system, wherein the at least one object includes the requested portion of the file; and accessing the portion of the file using the cloud file descriptor.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a control system for remotely controlling a change data capture (CDC) system. The CDC system comprises a source computing system and target computing system. The target computing system is configured to store a copy of data of the source computing system. The source computing system and the target computing system are configured to execute coordinated actions using predefined agents in order identify a change to data of the source computing system and to propagate, and store the change to the target computing system. The control system is configured for dynamically installing User-Defined Functions, UDF functions, in the source and target systems in order to control the agents to perform the predefined actions.

Abstract: A data processing system may store a data set at a plurality of data centers. The data centers and hosts within the data centers may, for example, be organized according to a multi-tiered ring arrangement. A hashing arrangement may be used to implement the ring arrangement to select the data centers and hosts where the writing and reading of the data sets occurs. Version histories may also be written and read a the hosts and may be used to evaluate causal relationships between the data sets after the reading occurs.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and an apparatus of recommending information based on a fused relationship network. Abstract: A data request workflow system comprises vehicle operational data. A file delivery request comprises a data request for a subset of the vehicle operational data. A file processing system receives the vehicle operational data and includes at least one set of predefined file editing rules. The file processing system automatically applies at least one set of predefined file editing rules to filter out a predefined sub-set of the vehicle operational data and to automatically edit data that is part of the data request per predefined criteria for each type of vehicle operational data to provide a converted data file to be transmitted to a user that submitted the file delivery request.

Abstract: Methods and systems for implementing a custom query of a media universe database. A plurality of content items are generated based at least in part on a media universe database. The media universe database is configured to store a plurality of elements of media universe content related to a media universe. The content items are sent to a client. From the client is received input indicating a combination of the content items. The combination comprises a selection of two or more of the content items. The media universe database is queried for additional content relevant to the two or more of the content items in the combination. The additional content is sent to the client.

Abstract: In a multi-cloud computing environment comprising a plurality of cloud platforms, wherein one cloud platform is a source of a model and a data set and further wherein the model is to be executed against the data set on one or more of the other cloud platforms, the method maintains a decentralized architecture comprising a file system and a message bus, wherein the file system comprises a plurality of decentralized file system nodes corresponding to the plurality of cloud platforms, and the message bus comprises a plurality of decentralized message bus nodes corresponding to the plurality of cloud platforms. Abstract: A display apparatus includes user input circuitry for receiving user commands and a display for displaying video content and a user interface. The video content includes metadata. The display apparatus includes a processor in communication with the user input circuitry and the display; and non-transitory computer readable media in communication with the processor that stores instruction code. The instruction code, when executed by the processor, causes the processor to receive, from the user input circuitry, a query regarding an image of the video content currently displayed on the display; and determine one or more objects of the image associated with the query based on the metadata. The processor updates the user interface to depict one or more controls, each control being associated with one of the determined one or more objects; and receives a selection of one of the controls. The processor then updates the user interface to depict information related to the selection.

The method includes generating, by the database platform, a materialized view over the external table. The method includes receiving a notification that a modification has been made to the external table, the modification comprising one or more of an addition of a file, a deletion of a file, or an update to a file in a source location for the external table. The method includes, in response to the external table being modified, refreshing the materialized view such that the materialized view comprises an accurate representation of the external table.

The method includes monitoring, in response to receiving authorization from a user, Web search results of a user, social media accounts, and media sources. In response data indicating an importance of world related factors with respect to the user is received. The data is analyzed with respect to results of the monitoring and an associated metadata model and modeling software application personalized for the user is generated. A search request associated with initiating a Web search for a product or service is initiated and the modeling software application is executed with respect to the metadata model and Web search. Personalized Web search results are generated and presented to the user. The personalized Web search results indicate entities associated with providing the product or service for the user via Internet based commerce Websites.
