  • Patent number: 10987522
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for segmenting medical image. Embodiments of the present disclosure may locate and track a moving, three-dimensional (3D) target in a patient undergoing image-guided radiation therapy. For example, an adaptive filter model for a region of interest in the patient may be received, wherein the adaptive filter model is based on the target to be tracked. An image acquisition device may obtain a two-dimensional (2D) slice of a region of interest in the patient. A processor may then apply the adaptive filter model to the 2D slice, wherein the adaptive filter model includes an offset value. The processor may also determine a location of the target in the 2D slice based on the adaptive filter model. The processor may also estimate a potential location of the target based on the offset value. The processor may then repeat one or more of the above steps to track the moving target during image-guided radiation therapy of the patient.

  • Patent number: 10984530
Abstract: An enhanced medical images processing method and a computing device includes: acquiring series of enhanced medical images and detecting a phase of each enhanced medical image in the series of enhanced medical images using a pre-trained 3D convolutional neural network model. A plurality of target enhanced medical images from the enhanced medical image are selected according to the phases. A plurality of interest images is obtained by identifying and segmenting an interest region in each of the plurality of target enhanced medical images, and finally registering the plurality of interest images. The registered images have clear phase markers and are all spatially aligned, allowing a subsequent doctor or clinician to directly use the registered interest images for diagnosis without the need to rescan the patient.

  • Patent number: 10947576
Abstract: A method for rapid antibiotic susceptibility testing by tracking sub-micron scale motion of single bacterial cells including obtaining a biological sample from a subject including live bacteria. Different doses of antibiotic are added to a multi-well glass slide and adding portions of the biological sample to the wells. Bacterial cells are tethered onto the surface. The tethered bacterial cells are imaged and tracked. Bacterial sub-micron motion of tethered cells is measured at the different doses. A processor performs statistical analysis on a population of cells for each antibiotic dose to generate an antibiotic dose curve proportional to the motion changes, where the antibiotic dose curve plots data including a decrease in movement over time indicating a proportional effectiveness of an antibiotic applied to a well.

  • Patent number: 10917558
Abstract: Described is a method for processing image data to determine if a portion of the image data is affected due to sunlight. In some implementations, image data is sent to an image data store and camera parameters are sent to a radiance detection service. The radiance detection service, upon receiving the camera parameters, retrieves the image data, converts the image data to gray-scale and processes the image data based on the camera parameters to determine a radiance value for the camera. The radiance value may be compared to a baseline radiance value to determine if sunlight is represented in the image data. In some implementations, a baseline model may be developed for the camera and used to cancel out any pixels of the image data that are overexposed under normal or baseline conditions. Likewise, a foreground model may be generated to detect any objects in the image data for which corresponding pixel values should not be considered for determining if sunlight is represented in the image data.
