  • Patent number: 9308136
Abstract: An outer covering sheet (4) of a pants-type disposable diaper (1) has a front part and a back part (403) to be positioned on a front side and a back side of a wearer, and a middle part lying between the front and back parts. An absorbent body (20) is attached on the outer covering sheet (4) to absorb excrement from the wearer. Both end portions of the absorbent body, positioned in the front part and the back part (403), are folded toward the inner surface (40) of the outer covering sheet (4) and bonded on the inner surface (40). It is therefore possible to prevent skin of the wearer from being irritated by edges (241) of the end portions of the absorbent body (20) when the disposable diaper (1) is worn.

  • Patent number: 9308344
Abstract: The invention relates to a pressure responsive respiratory valve apparatus for enabling positive pressure from a source of pressure to be applied to a user's airway, and allowing ingress of a breathable gas from an inlet port into a user's airway during inhalation and egress of expired tidal volume of air from the user's respiratory system to an exhalation port during exhalation. The invention minimises rebreathing of expired gas and optimizes delivery of pressurised breathable gas by venting gas only during exhalation, as well as addressing important user considerations including minimizing noise, pressure swing, and size.

  • Patent number: 9283125
Abstract: In a disposable wearing article, a first waist region is elasticized and formed of an inner sheet and an outer sheet. The non-skin-facing side of the outer sheet is formed substantially over its entire area with a plurality of thermocompression-bonded spots regularly and intermittently arranged at predetermined intervals. The outer sheet has non-thermocompressed regions surrounded by a plurality of thermocompression-bonded spots. A fibrous layer lying at least on the outer surface of said outer sheet is formed of thermal adhesive crimped fibers which are bonded together by thermocompression-bonding treatment in the thermocompression-bonded spots. The outer sheet and the inner sheet are bonded to each other by adhesive applied on at least one of respective opposite surfaces thereof so that the crimped fibers in the non-thermocompressed regions may protrude outward in a thickness direction of the outer sheet as the inner sheet contracts in the direction of the transverse axis Q.

  • Patent number: 9192525
Abstract: On the back sheet side, back-side recessed portions recessed toward the top sheet are provided in a surface of the absorber of the disposable diaper. The back-side recessed portions include multiple grooves, which are continuous in the longitudinal direction L of the absorber. The back-side recessed portions is visible from an outside of the back sheet in a state before the disposable diaper is used, and when the absorber absorbs liquid, the depth D of the back-side recessed portions is made smaller than that before the absorber absorbs liquid. When the hydrophilic fiber and the particulate SAP swells, and thereby the absorber expands in at least the thickness direction thereof, the back-side recessed portions seems to disappear from the outside.

  • Patent number: 9101513
Abstract: In a pants-type disposable diaper, an outer covering sheet formed of a nonwoven fabric has front and back parts to be positioned on front and back sides of a wearer, and a middle part between the front and back sides. An absorbent body is attached on the outer covering sheet from the front part to the back part, to absorb excrement from the wearer. Sheet members are bonded on the front and back parts, and end portions of the absorbent body are positioned and fixed between the sheet members and the outer covering sheet. In the disposable diaper, since the sheet member is a laminated sheet of plastic film and nonwoven fabric, stretching of the sheet member is suppressed and it is possible to bring the absorbent body in close contact with the crotch region of the wearer when putting the disposable diaper on the wearer.
