  • Patent number: 7756489
Abstract: A radio communication apparatus having a radio modem for processing a signal in a radio frequency band, a signal processor for processing a base band of a transmission or reception signal, and a CPU for processing a protocol. The signal processor includes signal processing blocks implemented by programmable software. Each of the signal processing blocks processes a signal of reception signal data input from the radio modem or from a preceding stage of one of the signal processing blocks or a signal of transmission signal data input from the CPU or from the preceding stage of signal processing block on the basis of a control signal input together with the transmission signal data or the reception signal data. The control signal can include information required by all the signal processing blocks in a common format.

  • Patent number: 7751420
Abstract: In a wireless network, access points communicate with each other by transmitting and receiving data in first units and with client devices by transmitting and receiving data in second units over wireless links. A first unit encapsulates one or more second units addressed to client devices served by the same access point. Multiple second units encapsulated in a single first unit are transmitted with a single first-unit header. This scheme enables more payload data to be delivered with less overhead than would be required if every second unit were to be encapsulated in a separate first unit.

  • Patent number: 7725108
Abstract: A system allowing reuse of one same frequency on all the cells of a network. It includes means storing data characteristic of the network and a computing module provided with means to associate carriers of a transmitter with service areas to distribute the traffic to be handled in the sector over N shares of traffic in N complementary areas determined in relation to their radio attenuation, and a determined frequency with each service area, the different carriers used being respectively associated with a single service area of a sector. With the system it is possible to adjust the transmission power of each carrier in relation to the determination made by the computing module to share the power of transmitter between the carriers of one same sector.

  • Patent number: 7649867
Abstract: A method of discovering at least one of a homogeneous and a heterogeneous network module to perform handover with in a wireless mobile communication network is disclosed. More specifically, the method includes establishing a network handover module for converging information from at least one network interface module associated with at least one of a homogeneous and a heterogeneous network handover module into a unified presentation and transmitting a broadcast request message from a mobile station (MS) to a source point of attachment (PoA) which transmits the broadcast request message to at least one interface module to identify whether the at least one interface module supports at least one of the homogeneous and the heterogeneous network handover module and a capability of the at least one of the homogeneous and the heterogeneous network handover module.
