  • Patent number: 11055732
Abstract: Systems and methods to control activation of a generation unit. Compute an offer amount, representative of a value at which power is available to be supplied by a generation unit for a current or each subsequent upcoming time period in a time window. Construct energy supply curves using a set of points for each time period in the time window, to obtain associated amounts of power to supply with corresponding prices per each time period. Use a gradual decreasing price staircase approach to iteratively determine multiple offer amount scenarios. Submit the multiple offer amount scenarios along with corresponding values representative of available quantities of power to an operator computer that controls a market-based resource allocation system. Receive back a submitted supply value for the current or upcoming time period. Compare the submitted supply value to the submitted offer amount, and activate or deactivate the generation unit based on the comparison.

  • Patent number: 10990991
Abstract: A system for cognitive deal pricing may include a memory having stored thereon historical deal information that includes historical deal components and historical deal communication associated therewith for historical deals. The system may also include a processor cooperating with the memory and configured to use machine learning to analyze the historical deal information to determine a predicted client type for each current deal component of a current deal, and generate the deal pricing based upon the predicted client type for each current deal component of the current deal.

  • Patent number: 10990931
Abstract: A work period scheduler includes one or more data processors configured to receive performance data relating to the performance of one or more individual workers from a database. The performance data is then analyzed to identify one or more workers as a leader, a leader being a worker whose presence in a group of the individual workers results in an improvement in overall performance of said group. Work periods, e.g. shifts, may then be scheduled based on one or more skills attributed to one or more workers wherein the one or more skills includes leader.

  • Patent number: 10977620
Abstract: Embodiments include a technique for scheduling meeting based on calendaring dependencies. The technique includes receiving prerequisite information for scheduling a meeting, the prerequisite information including a meeting agenda, meeting objective, and location, and validating, by a computing system, the prerequisite information based on an aggregate condition of the prerequisite information. The technique also includes responsive to the validation, scheduling the meeting based on the prerequisite information, otherwise restricting the scheduling of the meeting, and electronically transmitting a meeting request including the prerequisite information based on the validation.
