  • Patent number: 10200212
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and an edge device for accessing an IP network. A record is pre-configured to associate and record a port number, a VLAN ID and an EVI service instance ID in the record. A first packet is received from a user side. A corresponding EVI service instance ID is searched in the record according to a port number of a port through which the first packet is received, and a VLAN ID of the first packet. The first packet is then forwarded in an EVI service instance corresponding to the EVI service instance ID.

  • Patent number: 10135595
Abstract: A system and method to instruct a User Equipment (UE) how Uplink Control Information (UCI) on a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) should be transmitted with carrier aggregation. A semi-static signaling of a UCI mapping bit (via a Radio Resource Control (RRC) parameter) is used by a base station such as an eNodeB to require the UE to transmit UCI using one of two pre-determined UCI transmission modes. The bit can be decided by the base station, considering, for example, the available bandwidth or quality of different Uplink Component Carriers (UL CCs) associated with the UE. This network-based solution allows the network to either configure a general rule of UCI transmission by the UE or to enforce the UCI transmission on the Uplink Primary cell (UL Pcell). Because of the rules governing abstracts, this abstract should not be used to construe the claims.

  • Patent number: 10111188
Abstract: Methods, systems, and-devices are described for interference mitigation in a time-division duplex(TDD)wireless communication system. First and second subframe types may be identified for TDD subframes to be transmitted using the system. Different power control parameters associated with each subframe type may be identified based on transmission directions in neighboring cells for the particular subframes. One or more TDD subframes to be transmitted may be identified as a first or second subframe type, and power control may be applied to the transmitted subframes according the power control parameter associated with the subframe type. The identification of subframes and power control parameters to be applied to each type of subframe may be transmitted, for example, to a user equipment(UE). • Patent number: 10104695
Abstract: Systems described herein receive, via a physical random access channel, an attach request from a user device; retrieve profile data for the user device; and determine, based on RF conditions estimated from the attach request, an initial downlink repetition level for extended coverage. The systems also receive a reference signal from the user device via a physical uplink shared channel; determine an uplink repetition level for coverage extension based on the uplink RF conditions and requirements from the profile data. The systems detect high resource use within a cell; identify a shared downlink resource channel for the user device, wherein machine-type communication (MTC) data for the user device uses BPSK modulation; identify non-MTC data requiring downlink transmission to a device within the cell; and send the non-MTC data over the shared downlink resource channel, and on a resource pre-allocated for the user device, using a different modulation level.

  • Patent number: 10097481
Abstract: In some embodiments, a non-transitory processor-readable medium stores code representing instructions to be executed by a processor. The code causes the processor to receive, from a source peripheral processing device, a portion of a data packet having a destination address associated with a destination peripheral processing device. The code causes the processor to identify, based on the destination address, a service to be performed on the portion of the data packet. The code causes the processor to select, based on the service, an identifier of a service module associated with the service. The code further causes the processor to send the portion of the data packet to the service module via a distributed switch fabric such that the service module performs the service on the portion of the data packet and sends the portion of the data packet to the destination peripheral processing device via the distributed switch fabric.

  • Patent number: 10085156
Abstract: Systems and methods for selectively enabling Robust Header Compression (RoHC) for Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) calls in a cellular communications network are disclosed. In one embodiment, a data radio bearer for a VoIP call is established between a base station and a mobile terminal. During the VoIP call, a radio frequency parameter for the data radio bearer is monitored. When the radio frequency parameter for the data radio bearer satisfies a predefined coverage-based condition, the base station enables RoHC for the VoIP call. In one preferred embodiment, the radio frequency parameter is a Signal-to-Interference-plus-Noise Ratio (SINR) for the data radio bearer for the VoIP call, and the predefined coverage-based condition is a predefined SINR threshold below which the base station enables RoHC. By enabling RoHC in this manner, RoHC resources are selectively made available for those VoIP calls that will benefit most from increased cell coverage provided by RoHC.
