Abstract: In accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure there is provided a method for carrier sensing. The method includes receiving, at a wireless receiver, an input signal, and generating, based on a sampling period, a plurality of data samples from the input signal. The method further includes periodically combining a first data sample from the plurality of data samples with a second data sample that is one or more sampling periods before the first data sample to generate a combined data sample. The method further includes generating an auto-correlated output for carrier sensing based on the combined data sample. The auto-correlated output is provided to generate an estimate of phase difference between the first sample and the second sample for the periodic combining.

  • Patent number: 9888094
Abstract: A data compression/decompression methodology and system stores in a compression-side dictionary the data that has been transmitted and additionally applies to such data in the compression-side dictionary a status of being “invalid” for purposes of use as a reference in data compression until an acknowledgement signal has been received from the decompression side indicating that such data has been received. Once the compression side has received the acknowledgement signal indicating that the data in the form of a compressed data packet has been received on the decompression side, the status is changed from being “invalid” into being “valid”, i.e., into being usable as reference data for use in compressing further data elements in the data stream. Each data packet includes a stream index which is representative of the memory location in the compression-side dictionary where the first data element of the uncompressed data set of the data packet is stored.

  • Patent number: 9876706
Abstract: When IGMP packets are relayed to a predetermined router (L3SW), first and second L2SWs update their own snooping tables by snooping. Also, the first L2SW acquires a correspondence relation retained in the snooping table of the second L2SW through a control plane and registers it to the snooping table of the first L2SW. Then, when the first L2SW receives a multicast packet whose destination is a multicast group, the first L2SW extracts corresponding IP addresses based on its own snooping table and converts the multicast packet into unicast packets whose destinations are the IP addresses.

  • Patent number: 9866502
Abstract: An improved method of hierarchical output queueing of packets for a network scheduler of a network gateway that determines delays needed to conform to applicable rate shaping, and enqueues the packets based on the delay. Queues are associated with different classes of service (CoS), and within each class, each queue has a different scheduled time upon which it becomes available for dequeuing. A single set of CoS queues can support a large number of devices, improving the efficiency of software-based queuing by reducing the number of queues and simplifying queue polling.

  • Patent number: 9867181
Abstract: Where first and second reference signals for a first and second communication system, respectively, are transmitted, resources that affect a reception apparatus compatible only with the first communication system can be minimized, and the throughput can be prevented from being deteriorated. As resources for a reference signal CSI-RS for LTE-A, last half symbols in a time direction of a resource unit RB/Sub-frame defined in a frequency-time domain are used, and the CSI-RS is allocated in a position up to the last two symbols or in the last symbol, or the like, of a particular RB/Sub-frame and transmitted when a reference signal 4RS for LTE is transmitted to a reception apparatus in addition to transmitting CSI-RS for LTE-A. The reception apparatus receives CSI-RS allocated in the last half symbol of RB/Sub-frame based on CSI-RS allocation information, measures channel quality by using this CSI-RS, and transmits and reports feedback information.

  • Patent number: 9867079
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to a method in a transmitting radio node (12) for handling data packets within a radio bearer in a radio communications network (1). The transmitting radio node (12) sets up, within a radio bearer, a logical sub-channel for each of at least two identified packet flows. The transmitting radio node (12) associates an identity to each data packet of respective identified packet flow, where the identity is indicating the logical sub-channel of the respective identified traffic flow. The transmitting radio node (12) transfers the data packets of respective identified packet flow in an order over a channel in the radio communications network (1), where the order of transferring is based on the identity of each data packet.
