  • Patent number: 10909660
Abstract: Various techniques are disclosed for reducing noise and enhancing sharpness of an input image. For example, a method includes performing an initial collaborative filtering and sharpening on the input image to generate a pilot image, using the pilot image to derive coefficients that are used to perform a second collaborative filtering on the input image to generate a filtered image. In some embodiments, the collaborative filtering and sharpening is performed using parameters that boost or enhance the differences in pixel values for the same spatial locations of the matched image blocks extracted during the collaborative filtering and sharpening process. Accordingly, the method according to various embodiments performs especially well for images that have weak spatial correlations among mutually similar blocks.

  • Patent number: 10872396
Abstract: The present invention is related to an image stitching method. It is further related to an image stitching device and to a computer readable medium carrying instructions for performing such method. The method according to the invention includes determining a pixel value of a pixel at an interpolation position in the region to be stitched using pixel values of corresponding pixels in a plurality of sub-images. According to the invention, the interpolation position corresponds to a weighted sum of positions of the corresponding pixels. The weighting factor for the position of a corresponding pixel in a given sub-image depends on a relative distance of at said interpolation position to a border of the region to be stitched associated with that sub-image.

Abstract: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) systems and methods to determine and/or correct slice leakage and/or residual aliasing in the image domain in accelerated MRI imaging. Some implementations process one slice of MRI image domain data by input to a sensitivity encoding (SENSE) un-aliasing matrix built from predetermined RF signal reception sensitivity maps, thereby producing SENSE-decoded MRI image domain data for one pass-through image slice and at least one extra slice, and determine inter-slice leakage and/or in-plane residual aliasing based on content of the at least one extra output slice from the SENSE-decoded MRI image domain data.
