Abstract: The invention addressed the problem of improving the adhesive strength of a dimensionally stable, soft-rubbing adhesive stick consisting of an aqueous preparation of a synthetic polymer and a soap gel as gel-forming component and, optionally, other auxiliaries. This problem was solved by the use of an at least substantially solvent-free aqueous polyurethane dispersion as the aqueous preparation of a synthetic polymer.

Abstract: This invention relates to the marking of substrates based on glass fibers. The process consists in coating at least in part at least one of the faces of said substrate with a film of heat-fusible material and in making matt imprints on the surface of said film at least by localized hot creeping of said heat fusible material. The invention is more particularly applicable to webs of textile cloth used as light-diffusing and/or attenuating screens.
Abstract: Linerless label stock is produced from a single substrate utilizing a coating machine by moving the substrate through the coating machine and applying a tie coating to the substrate first face, a release coating to the substrate second face, and a pressure sensitive adhesive to the tie coating. The tie coating comprises a dispersion of a pigment, such as silica, with a binder, such as polyvinyl alcohol. The substrate is cut to form individual labels, and is rolled up into a roll with the release coated second face on the outside of the roll. Printing may be applied to the substrate prior to coating, or to the release coating.

Abstract: A thermally conductive interface material formed of a polymeric binder and one or more thermally fillers is disclosed. One or both of the major surfaces of the interface material has a means for removing air from between that surface and the surface to which it is attached, such as a heat sinker an electronic component. Alternatively, the heat sink or component may have the air removal means instead of or in addition to the interface material. The air removal means may be a series of embossments, channels or grooves or throughholes. Preferably, the interface is a pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive material and more preferably, it is in the form of a tape.
Abstract: Composite laminated adhesive tape coiled endlessly in roll form, comprising a central tape and first and third fastening tapes each disposed at respective ends thereof, with the surface of said fastening tapes being provided, at least partly, with pressure-sensitive adhesive, wherein in cross section the composite laminated adhesive tape coiled endlessly in roll form is folded in Z-form, with the top, slanted and bottom bars of the Z-shape being formed by separate first, second and third tape sections of first fastening tape, second central tape and third fastening tape, respectively.
