    Abstract: A remote control circuit for a hard wired remote control controlling multiple functions in a multiple motor device has a reduced number of wires extending between the hand held control and the motor control circuit. The circuit includes a rectifier for generating a positive control voltage and a negative control voltage which are separately supplied along individual wires to the hand held control, and a single wire extending between the hand held control and the control circuit for each function, the voltage appearing along the wire designating the direction of movement of the function. A pair of parallel connected LEDs sense the polarity of the voltage and energize a triac corresponding to the polarity of the voltage appearing along the control wire to energize the proper winding of a reversible motor.

    Abstract: In liquid measuring apparatus, a cable supporting a sensing plate is attached to a drum that is connected via a magnetic clutch with the drive shaft of a servomotor. The servomotor is supported in a pivot mount which is flexibly rotatively connected to the apparatus housing. In response to liquid level changes, a contactless sensor generates a signal which is compared with a balance of moments reference signal in a comparator to develop a deflection signal which, after conversion into frequency pulses in fast servocontrol circuitry, activate the servomotor in one direction or the other as determined by a polarity switch activated by a directional decoder. Inaccuracies due to parts vibrations are compensated for. Also, measurement disturbances caused by waves at the surface of the liquid are avoided with the aid of slow servocontrol circuitry which, after a delay, activates the servomotor with an adjustable frequency supplied by an oscillator.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a mechanism wherein a relative rotary angle of a driving motor is detected by use of an encoder, and, if an error occurs in a servo control action when the driving motor is servo-controlled in accordance with a deviation value of the relative rotary angle from a desired rotary angle of the driving motor, then the servo control action is brought to an emergency stop. A potentiometer for detecting an absolute rotary angle of the driving motor is connected to a rotary shaft of the driving motor and said emergency stop is effected when a difference between said absolute rotary angle and said relative rotary angle exceeds a preset tolerance value, so that an error in the servo control action can be reliably prevented.

    Abstract: An integrated circuit digital to analog converter includes circuitry having first and second resistors in a R/2R resistor ladder which scales bit current contributions to an analog output current. Each of the first and second resistors have a respective terminal connected to the collector of a bit current transistor, the emitter of which is connected to the emitter of a waste current transistor. The digital to analog converter includes a metal ground voltage conductor having a "shared node" and a distributed resistance between one side of the shared node and a main ground voltage connection. The collector of the waste current transistor and a second terminal of the first resistor are both connected directly to the shared node. In operation, the waste current transistor switches waste current into the shared node, rather than into a separate waste current ground conductor.
