Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to building surface baffles, for example, suitable for forming a room divider, a wall covering, an acoustical surface, or a ceiling surface. The present disclosure relates more particularly to a baffle for a building surface. The baffle includes an elongate body extending along an axis from a first end to a second end. The elongate body has a depth including a narrow portion that extends away from the axis along a first direction and a wide portion. The wide portion includes first and second projections that extend laterally outward from the first direction. The baffle also includes a first aperture extending into the first end of the elongate body along the axis and a second aperture extending into the second end of the elongate body along the axis.

Abstract: A land-based drilling rig includes a drill rig floor and a subfloor, the subfloor supporting the drill rig floor. The land-based drilling rig also includes a plurality of substructure boxes, the substructure boxes supporting the subfloor, each substructure box including a lower substructure box and two upper substructure boxes, wherein there is a gap between the two upper substructure boxes. In addition, the land-based drilling rig further includes a mast, the mast mechanically coupled to the drill rig floor.

Abstract: An intermodal container includes a base, a roof, walls extending between the base and the roof, at least one of the walls having a corrugated surface. An insulation for the intermodal container includes a plurality of insulation units, each of the insulation units having a corrugated surface complementary to the corrugated surface of the intermodal container. Frist one of the insulating units has insulating material having a cross-section with a first face and an opposite second face, the first face including a longitudinally extending planar first central section and first and second longitudinally extending planar slanted sections on opposite sides of the first central section. The first and second slanted sections extend obliquely from the first central section toward the second face. A segmented support element is embedded in the insulation unit.

Abstract: An anchor assembly for riser pipes uses a plate and sleeve to support a stub pipe which penetrates a floor of a structure, such as a building, in which the riser is located. Studs extending from the plate and the sleeve engage the floor and enhance the local structural strength of the floor. A bracket which engages the plate is used to mount the stub pipe within the sleeve. The riser pipe elements are attached to the ends of the stub pipe. Fire insulation material is positioned between the stub pipe and the sleeve.

Abstract: A structure, system, and method utilize horizontal hole cavities on the moon for constructing dwellings, shopping areas, factories, industrial and power plants, government offices, towns, and for unmanned robot devices where cosmic rays and ultraviolet are not directly incident. The horizontal hole cavities are also utilized to store trash such as all waste materials on the earth including waste or trash, hazardous materials, and radioactive waste as well as all waste materials on the moon including such things as waste or trash, hazardous materials, and radioactive waste. The radioactive waste includes spent fuel, radioactive soil, radioactive liquid, and radioactive material produced by nuclear power plants during normal and accident conditions. The vertical hole cavities are utilized for building elevators and stairs, and pipes supplying oxygen produced by photosynthesis devices on the moon's surface and carbon dioxide produced by humans in the cavity are used as conduits.

In one embodiment, the leveling device includes a body and two spaced and parallel strip members extending transversely from the body. Each of the spaced and parallel strip members extend to the front and rear of the body. Two opposing lateral open windows are formed in the body. A breakaway section is defined along the body. A wedge device is provided for penetrating one or more of the two opposing lateral open windows and exerting a force on the tiles for leveling them relative to each other.

Abstract: This invention is directed to a novel transferring apparatus for transfer of pipelines and/or wires into a shelter, while keeping the shelter sealed and impermeable for gas, liquids, blast over pressure, resist motive force, and blast reflected pressure. Embodiments of the invention enable entry of content into the shelter only through the pipe.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are gutter guard systems arranged to efficiently manage the flow of rainwater across the system and prevent the matting of debris onto the system. In one exemplary embodiment, a gutter guard system includes a main body and a screen covering the main body. The main body includes a front receiver, a rear receiver, and a water management section positioned between and connecting the front and rear receivers. The screen spans the water management section and is secured to the main body by engagement on one end with the front receiver and on the opposite end with the rear receivers. When the gutter guard system is installed in a rain gutter, the front receiver engages with the front edge of the rain gutter, and the rear receiver engages with the rear portion of the rain gutter.

Abstract: BMASS rebar is disclosed herein that is useful for reinforcing structural support elements. BMASS (Braided Multi-Axial Sleeve System) rebar has a substantially solid configuration that includes a concrete core and a flexible, multi-axially braided reinforcement sleeve enclosing the concrete core, which provides sufficiently rigid, yet flexible rebar. The BMASS rebar does not contain polymer resins that would otherwise interfere with flexibility. The BMASS rebar can be utilized in structural support elements to support a wide variety of structures. BMASS rebar can constructed entirely of non-corrosive materials, therefore eliminating the possibility of corrosion. The BMASS rebar can be manufactured inexpensively and can be made in many different configurations. A BMASS rebar fabrication method can provide a quick, safe, low-cost, and simpler method to manufacture BMASS rebar on the jobsite. BMASS rebar offers many advantages over the steel rebar typically used for structural support of concrete structures.

An angled upper first member integrally joined to a vertical lower second member form an angled structure. The first member is configured for placement on a roof edge and under a roof shingle and the second member is configured for placement to a fascia, the lower portion of the second member being configured for placement over a a gutter's back end. Vertically stacked ledges extend outwardly from the second member into an opening of the gutter. Separations between adjacent ledges form varying height receiving channels for placement of a roof-side end of a gutter guard. The device is a single piece drip edge and gutter guard fascia-side attachment device.

A wedge device is provided for penetrating one or more of the two opposing lateral open windows and exerting a force on the tiles for leveling them relative to each other.

Abstract: The present invention is a safety window cover for installing windows with sashes onto window openings. The safety window cover comprises a rectangular panel that defines a linear slit running parallel to the top side of the rectangular panel. A pressure pivot mechanism is mounted onto the linear slit. The pressure pivot mechanism is designed to slide along the linear slit. And, a lever is attached to the pressure pivot mechanism. The lever is designed to lock onto a window frame when the window is open, securing the rectangular panel outside the window frame during the installation process of the window frame onto a window opening.

Abstract: A mesh tape bonded to the outer edge or outward side of sheet panel products. The mesh tape is applied so that the tape overhangs the edge of the panel for the purpose of adjoining to the adjacent panel following installation of the panels at a job site. The mesh may be applied to two edges of the sheet panel, one along the panel width and another along the panel length. When installed, the panel edge with the mesh tape applied is overlapped with the edge of an adjacent panel that does not have tape applied, both along the length and width, thus allowing for a faster, more robust and reliable installation of panel sheathing.

Abstract: A gutter cover, components thereof, and associated methods. The gutter cover is configured to be installed over a gutter to prevent debris from entering the gutter. The gutter cover can be made of a webbing material having openings through which water can pass. The gutter cover includes features that facilitate water penetration through the gutter cover for the water to enter the gutter. For example, the webbing material is formed to define a diverter protruding upward and extending lengthwise along the gutter cover body. The diverter has a peak, a rear leg extending upward and forward toward the peak, and a forward leg extending downward and forward from the peak. The rear leg is steeper and shorter than the front leg such that the rear leg defines a water impact surface configured to break surface tension of water flowing along the top of the gutter cover.
