The rainscreen installation tool may also have a fourth short leg extending from the center which is orthogonal to the first short leg. One or more of the rainscreen installation tools may be positioned with one of the short legs between an installed rainscreen panel and new rainscreen panel so that the new panel is appropriately spaced from the installed rainscreen panel. A fastener may be positioned at an edge of the rainscreen installation tool in order to secure the new rainscreen panel to the supporting structure.
