Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a wireless device, for handling a mobility procedure in a communication network. The communication network comprises a first network and a second network. The first network is associated with a core network node and a first RAN node. The second network is associated with a second RAN node. The first RAN node and the second RAN node each support a set of cells. The first and the second network comprise partitioned sets of functionalities, wherein a first set of functionalities belongs to a first network slice supporting the wireless device. The wireless device is associated with the first network and the first network slice in a first cell of the first RAN node. The network slices and corresponding network slice identities are uncoordinated between the first and the second network. The wireless device receives, from the core network node, a message comprising an indication of combinations of networks and network slices equivalent to the first network slice.

  • Patent number: 10965586
Abstract: Techniques for detecting path failures and reducing packet loss as a result of such failures are described for use within a data center or other environment. For example, a source and/or destination access node may create and/or maintain information about health and/or connectivity for a plurality of ports or paths between the source and destination device and core switches. The source access node may spray packets over a number of paths between the source access node and the destination access node. The source access node may use the information about connectivity for the paths between the source or destination access nodes and the core switches to limit the paths over which packets are sprayed. The source access node may spray packets over paths between the source access node and the destination access node that are identified as healthy, while avoiding paths that have been identified as failed.

  • Patent number: 10925056
Abstract: A SRLTE/Hybrid CDMA management system is provided to facilitate the prioritization and management of shared RF resources among the different SIMs and RATs in a multimode device. The described techniques address a shared single RF resource usage problem in multi-SIM and multimode 3GPP2/3GPP devices that implement an SRLTE or Hybrid CDMA mode in one or more SIMs. Thus, the techniques enable the RATs within an SRLTE or Hybrid CDMA system, and RATs across multiple SIMs, to access a single set of RF resources using a priority access scheme that prioritizes RATs for both packet service (PS) and circuit service (CS).

  • Patent number: 10925071
Abstract: A method for adjusting the interference level for a wireless communication from a first mobile station to a second mobile station including detecting an interference level at a transmitting station and providing for elevation of the direction of beam for the signal transmissions from the first mobile station to the second mobile station relative to an angle between the ground plane and the current direction of beam for the transmissions from the first mobile station to the second mobile station. Such lifting up of the beam avoids interference at the place of a third mobile station located at the direction of signal transmission but with further distance, since the signal strength then vanishes relatively quickly if the beam is lifted up.

  • Patent number: 10904367
Abstract: Network access node virtual fabrics configured dynamically over an underlay network are described. A centralized controller, such as a software-defined networking (SDN) controller, of a packet switched network is configured to establish one or more virtual fabrics as overlay networks on top of the physical underlay network of the packet switched network. For example, the SDN controller may define multiple sets of two of more access nodes connected to the packet switched network, and the access nodes of a given one of the sets may use a new data transmission protocol, referred to generally herein as a fabric control protocol (FCP), to dynamically setup tunnels as a virtual fabric over the packet switched network. The FCP tunnels may include all or a subset of the parallel data paths through the packet switched network between the access nodes for a given virtual fabric.

  • Patent number: 10892996
Abstract: Systems and processes for operating an intelligent automated assistant are provided. In one example process, an event associated with an audio input is detected with a first process. In accordance with a detection of the event, a delay value associated with an electronic device is determined. The delay value corresponds to a time required to determine, with a second process, whether the audio input includes a spoken trigger. In accordance with a determination that the delay value exceeds a threshold, the delay value is broadcast during a first advertising session, and determination is made, during a second advertising session, whether the electronic device is to respond to the audio input. In accordance with a determination that the threshold is not exceeded, a determination is made, during the first advertising session, whether the electronic device is to respond to the audio input or wait for the second advertising session.

  • Patent number: 10887213
Abstract: Examples disclosed herein relate to path-synchronous performance monitoring of an interconnection network based on source code attribution. A processing node in the interconnection network has a profiler module to select a network transaction to be monitored, determine a source code attribution associated with the network transaction to be monitored, and issue a network command to execute the network transaction to be monitored. A logger module creates, in a buffer, a node temporal log associated with the network transaction and the network command. A drainer module periodically captures the node temporal log. The processing node has a network interface controller to receive the network command and mark a packet generated for the network command to be temporally tracked and attributed back to the source code attribution at each hop of the interconnection network traversed by the marked packet.

  • Patent number: 10880201
Abstract: Techniques are provided for generating data on the optimum number of storage-hops, the location of the storage-hops, and the bandwidth distributions of the storage-hops to construct a complete flow network for transmitting data from a sender to a receiver via a communication network. The flow network can potentially include hundreds of storage-hops, depending on the time and duration of the data flow. An algorithm is further provided for constructing an unbounded flow network from a bounded set of input parameters. Moreover, the complexity of the algorithm does not depend on the number of storage-hops, so the model is suitable for both crowd supported and data center supported transfers.

  • Patent number: 10778563
Abstract: Technologies are provided for managing routing updates within computer networks using brick identifier (ID) values. For example, brick ID values can be assigned to bricks of routers within a network. When a router of the network receives a routing update, the router can check the brick ID value of the routing update and compare it to its assigned brick ID value. If the brick ID values match, then the router can process the routing update using a preferred procedure. If the brick ID values do not match, then the router can process the routing update using a standard procedure. The preferred procedure can result in faster convergence of routing changes within the network.
