Abstract: An assembly supports external masonry veneer. A soffit assembly is provided to close what might otherwise be an open eave lying inboard of the bottom margin of the masonry veneer. The soffit assembly includes a fitting that mounts to the toe of the shelf angle, such that the soffit may be mounted from the shelf angle and run rearwardly toward the supporting wall structure. The soffit assembly may come as a two-part assembly. Alternatively, it may come as a three-part assembly. In either circumstance the soffit assembly may include a drip edge. The soffit assembly includes an external coating.

The invention also relates to a covering consisting of mutually connected floor panels according to the invention. Abstract: A construction system has rods and connectors that may be assembled and disassembled in order to be re-used to construct a variety of geometric figures and other figures. Each connector has a plurality of sockets configured to form joints with the rods. Each socket has a cavity where the cavity has aligned openings. The socket at one of the openings forms an interference fit with an inserted rod.

Abstract: A panel for a wall treatment and a method of manufacture thereof. The panel includes a panel block cast from a material. During casting, a first bracket, a second bracket, and an insulator block are partially embedded within the material. The insulator block, which is a lighter weight foam material, is embedded between the first and second brackets such that part of the insulator block will extend beyond a rear of the panel block once cast. Once cast, part of the first bracket extends upwardly beyond a top of the panel block and part of the second bracket angles downwardly and outwardly from the rear of the panel block and a distance below the insulator block. The second bracket is used to align the panel on a support surface. The first bracket is used to secure the panel to the support surface.

The present invention provides a tray 2,5 disposed within a trough 3, a panel socket 4,7 configured to engage with the tray such that movement of the tray along the trough in the longitudinal direction results in lateral movement of the panel socket within the trough, and a releasable wedge 95 configured to brace the panel 1 within the trough adjacent to the base 31 of the trough, the wedge configured to bridge a gap between the base of the flat panel and a wall 51 of the tray. In this way, the wedge urges the wall of the tray against the side wall of the trough, thereby resisting movement of the tray within the trough.

Abstract: There is disclosed a modular connector for coupling a plurality of frame members to each other. Primary and secondary sleeves of the modular connector are elongated along their respective axes so as to be suitable to engageably receive therein corresponding frame members. A plurality of slots are defined on an axially extending outer face of the primary sleeve. A plurality of tabs extend outwardly from a terminal end of the secondary sleeve. The plurality of tabs are receivable in the plurality of slots to position the primary and secondary sleeves relative each other. An end plate extends inwardly from about the terminal end of the secondary sleeve to abut and fasten to the outer face of the primary sleeve when each of the plurality of tabs is engaged with the plurality of slots to allow removable coupling of the primary sleeve to the secondary sleeve.

Abstract: A building façade secured to a building structure having a plurality of floor levels can comprise a plurality of façade panels wherein one or more façade panels include a strip of fire-safing insulation. The façade panels can be secured to the building structure adjacent an edge of a floor with the strip of fire-safing insulation engaging the floor edge along a vertical surface and a horizontal surface of the floor. Additionally, a method of installing a façade on a building structure can comprise the steps of: providing a plurality of façade panels, wherein the façade panels include a strip of fire-safing insulation, hanging the façade panels on the building floors adjacent an edge thereof, during the step of hanging, traversing the strip of fire-safing insulation vertically downwardly and horizontally towards the floor edge, and sandwiching the strip of fire-safing insulation between the façade panels and the floor edge.

The adhesive layer is positioned in between the underlayment basic layer and the floor element. The underlayment basic layer includes fillers. The majority of the fillers have a Moh's hardness of 5 or less and/or the majority of the fillers is formed by CaCO3 and/or talcum. The bottom of the underlayment is formed by a foil of polypropylene.

The anchor wall system comprises a shaft having a first end and a second end, a washer disposed between the first end and a second end. The wall anchor system has a collar having a groove defining a pair of collar walls, the collar disposed adjacent to the washer. The wall anchor system has a holder attached to the groove of the collar, the holder comprising a receiving section for receiving a portion of a veneer tie. A maximum holder height of the holder defines a second dimension spanning from a bottom end of the holder to a top end of the holder, and the second dimension is not greater than the first dimension.

The shank portion includes a threaded section between the distal end and the head portion, and an unthreaded section between the distal end and the threaded section. The threaded section has an outer threaded edge extending helically along the shank portion. The unthreaded section has a length along the axis that is at least a depth between the flooring substrate and the support substrate.

Abstract: A steel-timber composite shear wall with layered steel plates and timber cover plates is provided in the present disclosure, including a rubber layer, with a first thin low yield point (LYP) steel plate and a second thin structural steel plate respectively arranged on both sides of the rubber layer. A first timber cover plate and a second timber cover plate are respectively arranged outside the first thin LYP steel plate and the second thin structural steel plate. The steel plate and the timber cover plate are fixed through self-tapping screws. The grain of the first and second timber cover plates are arranged obliquely, and the oblique angles are determined based on height and width of the timber cover plate. Compared with the prior art, the shear wall has the advantages of environment friendliness, good buckling restraint performance, high lateral stiffness, multi-stage load resisting mechanism, and high prefabrication rate.

Abstract: A sealing profile can be used for sealing an edge joint between a cladding part of drywall and an adjacent floor, wall, or ceiling. The sealing profile contains a base body having an assembly side, which forms a support for the cladding part, and a fastening portion having a fastening side. The base body has fastening openings which are at a distance from one another in the direction of extent of the profile and which extend from the assembly side at least in portions up to the fastening portion. Furthermore, drywall can contain such a sealing profile, and a method can be used for fastening the sealing profile with fastening elements.

Abstract: Foldable wall systems that greatly reduce traditional wall building processes are contemplated. Suitable foldable wall systems comprise a plurality of panels that form a wall. The panels can be stored or deployed from a housing that is mounted on one or more vertical columns. It is contemplated that the panels comprise one or more track elements that travel within one or more tracks to guide the panels between the stored and deployed configurations.

Abstract: A bracket system, for suspending pergola beams from an existing structure, the existing structure having a vertical wall and roof rafters that each have a rafter top and a rafter end that extends beyond the vertical wall over a ground surface, each of the pergola beams having a supported end, including a plurality of brackets. Each bracket having a mounting assembly for attaching to one of the rafters, a support assembly for attaching the support end of one of the pergola beams, and a connecting assembly that suspends the support assembly from the mounting assembly. The pergola beams extend over the ground surface, away from the existing structure, supported only by the bracket at the support end and without any vertical supports.

Abstract: A structural assembly, preferably for creation of a firewall, is constructed using anchors attached to at least a first structure and a concrete wall. Preferably, the concrete wall is also attached to a second structure as well. The body of the anchors is fabricated from a material that fails at a temperature in excess of 1,000° F. A fastening member, preferably a grommet assembly, is positioned in an elongate slot for connecting the first face to the first structure and for sliding engagement within the elongate slot in response to relative movement of the first structure and/or the second structure and the attached concrete wall.
