  • Patent number: 7007731
Abstract: A base frame for holding fixtures used in woodwork includes an extruded body having a raised top central portion formed into a dovetailed open-topped upper channel, two lowered wing portions located at each lateral side of the upper channel and formed into two symmetrically identical open-topped side channels with a height difference between the tops of the upper and the side channels, and a big-size open-bottomed lower channel formed below said upper channel and said two side channels. With the height difference between the upper and the side channels, two base frames may be perpendicularly connected to each other in the same plane using a U-shaped connecting bracket flush with the top of the upper channel, or superposed with the upper channels facing toward each other by locking inserting blocks in each open-sided channel formed between two side channels at the same side of the two superposed base frames.

  • Patent number: 6908359
Abstract: A water skipping toy which has the desired characteristics of a few, simple, low cost parts that are easily produced using injection molding and minimal assembly time. The preferred embodiment comprises two substantially identical convex plastic discs each having an annular flange recessed from the outer perimeter of the disc. The flange of one of the discs is taller and has a slightly larger diameter than the flange of the other disc so that the two flanges are radially juxtaposed when the two discs are joined together. The discs may be secured together by the press fit engagement of the two annular flanges or the flanges may be glued to each other by a common adhesive along contiguous radial surfaces of the flanges. The discs create an air pocket between them which makes the toy lighter and buoyant. The third component of the preferred embodiment comprises a relatively soft rubber ring which encircles the outer radial edges of the discs to provide a safety barrier.

  • Patent number: 6902463
Abstract: A slate-type game call includes a flange extending downwardly below the bottom wall of the pot portion of the call. The flange creates a unique sound chamber. One or more apertures may be provided around the flange to assist in projecting sounds from the sound chamber when the call is secured to a support surface. The flange may further include a pair of slots through which a fastening strap can be inserted to secure the call to a person's limb or hunting implement. Relatively narrow channels leading to the strap slots may be formed in the flange to allow the game call to be quickly connected and disconnected from the fastening strap. The configuration of the flange in combination with the flexible fastening strap allows the game call to be pivoted relative to a support surface to which the game call is secured to project and direct sounds from the sound chamber.

  • Patent number: 6896578
Abstract: A swinging bob toy having an outer bob and middle bob on a string, with the middle bob having a bore through which the string passes to allow the middle bob to slide along the string. The middle bob has a substantially toroidal, liquid-containing bladder. The mass of the liquid contributes substantially to the overall mass of the middle bob, but the viscosity of the liquid and the dimensions of the bore of the toroid are such that the dynamic moment of inertia (i.e., a moment of inertia dependent on linear and/or rotational velocity and/or acceleration, of a history thereof) is small as the middle bob begins its rotation as the outer bob passes the top of its orbit.

  • Patent number: 6896577
Abstract: A toy assembly and its method of manufacture. The toy assembly is a spherical object that can be temporarily compressed into a disc. A short time after compression, the toy pops back into its original ball-like shape. The toy assembly has arcuate sections that join form a generally spherical body. The arcuate sections are symmetrically disposed around a central axis. The spherical body is bisected by an imaginary equatorial plane that is perpendicular to the central axis. A leaf spring is provided behind each of the arcuate sections that bias the arcuate sections into a spherical shape. A connector mechanism is provided that temporarily connect opposite sides of the spherical body when the spherical body is compressed. The leaf springs provide a spring bias that resists any compression and causes the arcuate sections to return to a spherical shape when the connector mechanism release.
