Abstract: Methods and systems for managing print jobs among a plurality of printing devices. At least one desktop client is disclosed in the methods and systems. The at least one desktop client includes a database storing a desktop client application and a processor configured to collect data, transmit/receive data with a cloud-based server, choose a suitable printing device and direct a print job to the suitable printing device. The at least one desktop client can be a computing device, a mobile device, or a local server. The at least one desktop device may also be a multiple-function printing device (MFP).

Abstract: A multi-function printer, which is an example of a display apparatus, includes a display section with a screen and a controller that changes display content of the screen. The multi-function printer includes the display section including an input section for input of a location on the screen as a contact location by a touch on the screen, and the controller that controls the display section. At least one of the factors indicating the degree of contamination of the screen since the previous screen cleanup is used as a parameter. In this case, the controller accumulates the value of at least one parameter since the previous screen cleanup and, in accordance with the accumulated value of the parameter, reducing the degree of visibility of display content displayed on the screen.

Abstract: An information presenting system includes: a specification unit that specifies a position of a biological part used for authentication from information about a target person; a setting unit that sets an imaging area in which the biological part is imaged, in accordance with the specified position of the biological part; and a presentation unit that presents information indicating the imaging area at a position that allows an overlap of the biological part. According to this information presenting system, information about biometric authentication can be appropriately presented to the target person, so that an authentication process can be performed normally.

Abstract: A method and system for two-dimensional shear wave elastography imaging (SWEI) that acquires B-mode ultrasound image of a region, selects an area of the B-mode image, automatically acquires two-dimensional shear wave elastography imaging data related to the selected area, and displays elasticity/velocity map on the selected area and optionally a reliability map. An algorithm takes as input one or combination of data sets selected from B-mode raw data or B-mode image data or elasticity/velocity map or reliability map or—raw two-dimensional shear wave elastography imaging data inside selected area, or two-dimensional shear wave elastography imaging data at an intermediate stage of processing like displacement curves over time or their peak features, and outputs the 2D coordinate of measure ROI center. Measure ROI overlapped on the B-mode image and/or on the elasticity map and/or on the reliability map is displayed. An elasticity parameter inside the measure ROI is computed, optionally weighted, and displayed.

Abstract: Digital imaging systems and methods are described for analyzing pixel data of an image of a skin area of a user for determining skin oiliness. A plurality of training images of a plurality of individuals are aggregated, each of the training images comprising pixel data of a respective skin area of an individual. A skin oiliness model, trained with the pixel data, is operable to output, across a range of a skin oiliness scale, skin oiliness values associated with a degree of skin oiliness. An image of a user comprising pixel data of at least a portion of a user skin area is received and analyzed, by the skin oiliness model, to determine a user-specific skin oiliness value of the user skin area. A user-specific electronic recommendation addressing at least one feature identifiable within the pixel data is generated and rendered, on a display screen of a user computing device.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus issues a content display trigger if a predetermined event related to a user operation is received. When the content display trigger is issued, the image forming apparatus acquires web content from a content server based on path information set on a signage setting screen, and displays the acquired web content. If a hyperlink in the web content is pressed on the displayed web content, the image forming apparatus downloads content to be printed that is the linked content, and displays a print dialog on the web content. The image forming apparatus prints the content to be printed if an instruction to print the content to be printed is issued using the print dialog.
